I wash mine real good with hot water first, all the parts broken down of course, then I take Flitz polish and pour some all over the individual pieces and take a really soft toothbrush and rub the flitz polish all over it really well. I then take a soft cloth and polish and wipe it all off. The entire unit looks brand spanking new when done.

i haven't even needed to clean the inside of my AVS yet, except maybe a rinse with water once every few weeks.. the inside stays damn clean. It's the threads that get mucked up and need cleaning more often is what i've noticed.

The inside always stays clean because PG protects aluminium. As for the threads, I just wipe them with a cloth and they are like new. Of course I put vaseline so my next wiping is more than easy because vaseline protect threads
