Cleaning Vision eGo Clearomizer V3

Just started using one of these - Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (Exchangeable & Detachable)

I'm wondering how people maintain/ clean them for maximum lifetime/ performance.

I have an ultrasonic cleaner I could use, but I'd prefer using tap water to alcohol (I've seen plastics craze in alcohol under ultrasound). Any thoughts?

Is it worthwhile considering rebuilding them with the bits available?

Any experiences and tips gratefully appreciated.

Depends on how frugal you want to be and how much time you want to spend on maintaining your Nova honestly. The heads are less then $3 each but if you can make them last longer you can apply that money for other things. Or you can buy more heads and save time. Heck if you really want to get frugal you can buy some wick and wire and retool the atty yourself in about 5 min for a grand total of about 0.45!!

You will need to rebuild them when they die, just buy new heads with the wicks attached.
As for cleaning them, that method many people have different ideas.
But on the whole there is no real difference in cleaning it as the same as the Vivi Nova, same kind of parts.

these should be super easy to clean ....

just unscrew/remove tank body, remove coil cap (rubbery cap w/sm.metal tip),
rinse coil/wicks under running hot water, pat dry w/paper towel & or set aside to dry,
then dry burn with short bursts on the battery, till coils glow orange again all the way across,
rinse & dry again or just blow thru batt end (to clear any ashes) & rinse tank & mouth piece,
put back together (few drops of juice on coil b-4 replacing cap is always good) , fill & VAPE


I have used the same head on my nova since may ....

just go thru the above process when it stars tasting dirty/yucky.

Per kelleymcm above. Also you might want to move the wicks gently left to right to rinse that gunky middle piece of wick.

I attach a 10ml drip bottle to the clearomizer, it screws in a little, and tape it with electrical tape to seal...
Cup of hot water, squish water up and down for 1 minute... Cleans the wick really well. Let it dry... Dry burn... Vape

When you DRY BURN ,if you do it long enough the center wick under coil will go back to WHITE ...it will burn everything off.

Use ego or twist @ 3.3 or so (not much higher) & remember short bursts,like count to 5, then rest a sec or 2 & repeat .

Thanks guys. All great info. I will certainly look into the replacement heads as an option.

Also, I have a variety of these - 1.8Ω, 2.4Ω, 2.8Ω
What voltages are recommended for each? I use Joye eGo C Twist Variable Voltage 650mAh Battery, variable from 3.2-4.8V

I will just buy 10 of em or so, They are only $1.50-$2 each.
