Clear caps

Well in socal clear caps have taken off in popularity.. Has anyone ever asked rob if he was willing to produce clear caps for the rm2 I think that would be awesome and it would eliminate the issue of the blind squonk just some food for though and if your willing to make them custom I would be the first to pick one up xD

I wouldn't trust a clear cap on my RM2s. I put the coil right out to the edge almost touching the cap. I'd be afraid of the heat that close to polycarbonate or acrylic. If you could cut the top and bottom off a cap and use a glass tube for the center you'd have something I'd be interested in. I've used diamond dremel tools before working with glass and it was much easier than I expected. It would be doable.

Remember Rob does not make the RM2, he modifies an existing Atty into an RM2.

Nevertheless, out of glass it might be beneficial. Hate to guess the cost, howsomever. Should be rather thick-walled I'd guess.

I was just thinking if this last week. I would buy one no matter the cost. I think it would look cool and prevent dry blind squonking.

If all these companies can produce glass drip tips to fit in a 510 atty hole, they should be able to make any shape or size for the rba's that attach with o-rings, like the igoS
And the chamber could be reduced even further if desired
Sounds like a job for trippy tips or someone new in the glass tip market not afraid to bust out something out the box.

Also, in the dark, there would be this eerie glow as the coil lit up. Perhaps different juices would impart different colored hues? An inquiring mind would want t know. This project is needed!

Could it be found out if he can do the cap for the RM2? Only RBAs I have or intend to own.

Well I figured I'd give him some lower hanging fruit to build some confidence with first. The igoS uses O-rings, and you know the RM2 is threaded, so I'll see if he can prevail on the igo first, then based on that I'll send him an RM2 to see if he can tackle that cap

We talked to him already about this. He said he would be willing to do that kind of thing, but he needs accurate measurements. BTW, this could not work on the RM2, as it screws on. However any atty that uses the o-rings for attaching the cover to the atty would be workable.

This is an ERA clone type RDA that has been modded in it's various incarnations dozens of times before. Don't see how this one would be any different.

I've never had a problem with squonking. I just give it a firm 3-4 second push, make sure there isn't too much wick, and leave the juice hole free and clear to drain. Perfection.
