Pics of my first completed version at the bottom of this page!

You could make this any size you wanted.
This would most likely work with any model E-cig atty.
You could also easily remove the blue foam near the mouthpiece for dripping.

510 plasti-dip cart rebuild

Modders stuff, what I did with it and cart mod

Pretty close to that guys idea.. so prob would be better to get some info from him as he's used the tubes before.

I wanted to make one without using glue as it just freaks me out thinking about that epoxy touching the juice.

Like i've said before.. it would be easier to just use the top part of the original cart as its made to fit over the atty and will possition the plug or whatever in the right spot to work well.. plus the air vents are already there. The plastic cart i believe is made to handle high heat i think hehe, yeah you can burn them if positioned wrong in the atty.

Just remember that the outside of the atty can get pretty hot as well and i dont think it would be a good idea to have the outside tube inserted on it. not saying it would melt but just burn a little and possably release something you would'nt want to vape.

IF you make this.. please let us know how it is. Otherwize just go off the other guys design and put a foam plug in it and rock and roll.

P.S. GOOD diagram though! easy to understand and follow! :)

Thanks for the link! at least I know it can be done. That is basically the same thing I want to do!.. lol I have no intention of using glue. Hopefully I won't have to if I can find tight fitting tubes. I want the entire cart to be clear except maybe the ?foam? stabilizers. The PVC is good for 160 degrees which is much higher than the straw I used that didn't melt so It should work fine. I got this idea off your straw mod that I couldn't get to fit. (so I just used a fat straight straw) but it was too thick and made hitting hard. Didn't have enough airflow. If it gets too hot I could always attach to the atty with metal connectors. Now that you mention it, I can also experiment with the stainless steel screens since it doesn't make the atty heat up as much. But I don't think the heat will be a problem. So today I'm off to find smaller bendies and some clear pvc pipe and/or aquarium tubing. I hope I can find some locally!

Ok so I went to Petsmart and look around for a few. WOW all the possibilities for filler material! I saw check valves and airstones and round fluval cylinder pieces with holes through the center and everything. I couldn't believe it. The possibilities are endless. I am satisfied with the blue foam I just hope it works with this. Anyway, I took out my mega 510 and held it up to some tubes and found that this can easily be done. It might look weird, but at least you can see how much fluid you have left. I bought the 2 packs of tubing and drove a block down to Lowes in the same shopping center. I would rather had used clear pvc pipe but I figured Lowes wouldn't have it anyway. I never went in. I made it right there in the truck so I didn't need any connectors or anything. I hit it for a few minutes and it worked and it didn't melt. If this continues, I won't need to go back to Lowes. This would be great for drippers also. Here is what I used :

TopFin 8' Airline Tubing 243,8 cm $1.99
TopFin Small Gravel Vacuum Hose 72" (182cm) $8.99
$11:53 total
Razor Blade
I already had blue foam

Two cut tubes, One around the battery and one around the atty. I cut a hole out for the battery button and made 4 holes in the atty tube for ventilation in the same place as the holes on the gold of the atty. (used tweezers) I left the battery tube short enough to plug into a charger.

After making sure the blue foam was tight enough not to leak (with water) on both ends, I filled it with keoke coffee and I dropped the filled freestanding removable reservoir tube into the outer tube and dropped it on the wick. Making sure there was plenty of blue foam sticking out of the tube to rest on the wick. Then capped it with a cart tip.

I am vaping away, loving the flavor and ready to hit the road on an adventure!

This was much easier than I though it would be.
You don't really need a tube around the battery but I did it anyway.

Good luck in the hunt!

P.S. whatever you end up trying.. for your health, try just puffing it and dont inhail incase the PVC tubing it burning. Puff it a few on and off and then check the tubes for signs of over heating before going all out and vaping away.

I am doing this now.... I will be careful and keep an eye on things as it is easy to take apart and put back together and I will be watching to see if it gets too hot or melts. I'm sure it won't be perfect right off the bat.

Thats nuts man.. Your cooking that unit with the batt and atty covered in the tube! Your letting no air into the atty that way as well. EDIT: Ok i see now but still.

I also see air bubbles in the tube.. that will stop the juice flow to the wick. How are you even sucking vapor threw it with the end cap on there if its bud up against the inner juice tube? Seems like you would just be sucking juice right out of the inner juice tube.

Gota fix the juice tube.. it will just bend under that constant heat as it seems its already happend as in the first pic. I guess your going to have to make something to hold the juice tube in the other tube.

In the last pic, it looks like the tube end that makes contact with the atty bridge has already fallin as the tube is heating its bending.

Seems like an impossable task to support the inner tube.. whatever you use is just gona block the air path.

Can you fit some toothpics around the inner tube so its tight to the outter tube? Tooth pics long ways. Or what did you have in mind to support the inner tube? Ring gaskets would be great though no air can go threw.

Gotta do something as the heat is softening up the tube and its bending. Thats what happends to tubing as it heats up. Stiff when its cold and flexable when warm. I've known this since water cooling my computers years ago.

HA that is so funny.
The pics were taken as I was making it. I could have used straighter tubes but chose tto use crappy parts just to see if it would work. I would rather have used clear pvc. But whatever. I think it's too long. It's not something I would want to take out in public. That is for sure. It looks like a hooka when I'm vaping it. I mean is this for real? The wick/foam relationship doesn't have a problem. It did pull out a little when I slid it apart. But I think it would be a fine home remedy throughout the day. I actually can't believe myself how well it is working. It was just an idea I had just to see if it worked is all. There is foam at both ends, so it can flow. I think if it was capped, that it wouldn't flow. So I did it the way I did. It seems to be working, but it is rather huge for my taste.

wow that's a great idea but finding some with grooves? maybe cylinder foam? I'm sure there's many things. I'm gonna keep vaping on this it really is smooth... lol I'm gonna cut it down to my size when the liquid is down far enough. The liquid is about half way down now. This thing is overkill. lol I popped the cap off to breathe better since the liquid was half way down anyway. I turned it upside down and four drops drained into the sink. All the keoke coffee was defying gravity and stayed up in the wick side. The four drops that came through when it was upside down was overflow from the wick area, there was a lot of foam up in the wick. I just took it apart and the atty doesn't look flooded at all, the wick looks wet. In a few more hours I can cut it in half. It's taking a while for this liquid to get used up. Unbelievable ... MMM Terry you got some damn good liquid.

I finally got to cut it down to the size I wanted. The slit down the front of the battery can be avoided. On another one I made I cut it only at the top near the button.

Still working great. Dry atty wet wick. Haha who would've thought. This is pretty cool.

I noticed at petsmart today that marine land foam has a logo on it called Eclipse. That is too much of a coincidence. :)

Naw, just take a thin file or use something to gut the groves on the outside edges of the washer. Yeah its too long :)

Glad its working for ya!

what about just using some split ring locking washers...shouldn't have to cut groves..might actually cause the vapor to spiral around on it's way up the tube..

WOW! I like the idea.

I'd be worried about the atty not being able to cool off with the plastic around it. I chain vape in front of my comp... in my... hell I just straight chain vape. I have to sit these down before I want to.

This is AWESOME, a 45 minute drive to the airport, and not dripping on the cart filler while driving!

Someone is going to corner the clear, HUGE CHAMBER CART market here in this thread.

I am willing to buy in a later stage!

Lock washers is a great idea!
This was going to be clear pvc, but it didn't get that far yet. You only need to put a small piece over the tip of the atty for it to work, I just decided to wrap the whole thing.
I poked holes in the tube where there are vent holes in the atty to help keep it cool. There is no melting so far. This is working as it is. If you have to hold the button down for 20 seconds at a time to get your fix, then yea, this might melt. Regular use seems fine.
I'm also thinking a paper hole puncher might be better for the battery button cut out. I'm trying to stay away from too long or bulky mods. I want it to fit in my coat pocket. I think I can find a way to get wider and thinner tubes, used with my current outer tube, and spiral the fluid reservoir all the way up the chamber. more fluid, less area.

I have also found that I do not even need the blue foam near the mouthpiece. Upon refilling you have to test with water because if the foam isn't right it will leak right through. Eventually I won't need an end cap either. Even without the blue foam on the mouthpiece side, If I lay it flat or turn it upside down, the liquid stays in the tube! The end cap is only needed to keep the reservoir piece in the tube. If I use washers or something, the end cap would be useless. You can just leave it open all the time and fill it whenever. Because the cart is 2 inches long and sort of wide, I never get juice in my mouth. As long as you test the reservoir tube with water before hand, it should work perfect. I have enough foam coming out at the wick it holds the reservoir in there without an endcap or washer. It did leak once through the holes in the atty, right on through the holes I punched in the tube around the atty. I adjusted the foam so it might drip once every so often and it works fine again. Basically I want to keep it like it is with the outer tube connected to the atty, remove the inner reservoir, add another tube one size larger over the tube on the outside, and get a smaller reservoir tube than I am using and wrap it around like a spiral spring all the way up the chamber. Using the center for airflow. I would need a washer at the bottom at least. I still would rather try pvc, but the only thing I can find locally is aquarium tubing. I might go get some more tubing today and mess with it some more.
