Hi everyone,

I am trying to clean one of my CE4 clearos after using a juice that I didn't like. I have followed the directions I got from ECF members and it still smells like that juice. I have cleaned it like 3 full times. Is there anything else I can do.

The method I have been using is warm water 7 or 8 times then let dry or dry burn.

Any help would be great.

i would imagine if you have done it a bunch it is most likely not going to work with a new juice...some juices are just like that...you dont mention the exact ce4 you have...i.e., what version...i dont use those myself but i do recall reading somewhere that theres more than one version and that the newer versions have "non-leeching" plastic tubes

if you have a replaceable head model you might go ahead and replace the head or if you are handy enough rewick/recoil

The last ones I got have a piece of "cloth," for lack of a better term,on either side of the coil.
I can get the coil clean but the cloth holds flavor and gunk

They have been called flavor wicks I believe but, are actually a weaved material to protect the coil from touching the side of the atty and shorting out your device. I personally have been cutting them out(several threads on this meathod)with a pair of cuticle scissors. Those of us that rewick wont take the time to put them back or create a new one. I have found if it is a good tight coil and wick it wont move side to side anyway. Much better wicking and flavor. GL!
-I am not suggesting you do this or will claim any responsibility. Be careful!

Just replace the coil / head. The cloth wick is what holds the old flavor.

I've found that the tank itself cleans nicely with just running it under hot water. Haven't noticed it holding any flavor.

Since these are top coil devices, cutting out the wick would mean you need to vape with it on its side.

Should you decide to soak the coil / head assembly, I'd vote for grain alcohol over isopropyl. Iso is for external use, grain is for drinking :)
