Hi Eric and friends,

I am looking for something without cartomizer filler. I generally enjoy vaping a dual coil cartomizer, really low resistance, 1.25 ohm. I like the tight draw and warmth.

I want to switch to some kind of clearo thing. Something with a similar feel to the GoGo Dual Coil 1.5 ohm Cartomizer, but without the filler.

Any suggestions of what I might buy? If I have to use non-dual coil, or a higher resistance, I can get used to it. Important to me is a warm vape, and a slightly tight draw.

Thanks,
Sandy

Don't know for sure but here is the link to them and it says 2.1 to 2.4..They do vape warm..

CE4 LR

Yes 510 connection, I use a go-go to 510 adapter then a 510 to ego adapter and works very well..

My new fave setup w/GoGo batt! Soooo easy to fill & use, and great clouds of vapor!

I have tried them all. I keep coming back to these. Why? Because they are easy/visibly easy to clean and you don't have to take them apart. Once cleaned and dry burned, they work like new again. They are consistent in performance from one package to the next. The tanks don't crack and they generally last a long time. I modify them via the tutorials found on youtube for a higher performance vape. I just ordered another type of clearomizer that has filler in it but I also ordered two more of these as well because I know they will work.

This one goes by many names. It is called the Vision 3.5ml, The Vision Deux, The Vision Extreme, and it also comes in a 2.5ml size. Some include LED lights, those are just a gimmick, and they typically outlast the LED lights, as they last through many refills. I have had several for 2 months now, and they are running better than they did when they were brand new.

I see the one that DV sells is 3.0 Ohms. I don't know what you are using. Some might find that a little cool on a 3.7 volt PV, I use a KGO (which is an eGo clone), and I prefer the 2.0 - 2.4 range for warmth of vapor, the 1.7 Ohms get too hot, and I felt the 2.8 - 3.0 did put out a lot of vapor, but slightly cooler than the lower ohms. It has a simple 510 connection, so easy to screw on. It refills easily without syringes.

What is your PV or mod?

I think you will find the eGo to 510 adapter as easy to use as an extension cord in your house. All you do is buy this little screw sized adapter that DV sells, it's smaller than a dime, it screws into your 510 connector, and then the CE4 will screw right into that. I think the Vision 3.5ml are great, but the CE4 might be a little sturdier, holds less e-liquid (1.6ml instead of 2.5ml or 3.5ml), and there are fewer defective units with the CE4 than I have had with the Vision 3.5ml, although I continue to use both.

I think you should get the 510 to eGo adapter, and try both the CE4 and the Vision 3.5ml, or 2.5ml if you want the LED light as well, I don't think DV has the 2.5ml without the LED light, which I hear is kind of cool, the LED costs $1 more at DV, but it's a lot more at other vendors. I think you will find you will have purposes and uses for both the Vision 3.5ml and the CE4, they both have their pros and cons, mostly pros, I use them both exclusively now.

I am anxious to try the CE5+ re-buildable, very similar to the CE4+ but you can replace the insides when they go bad, and the 4.5 ml Vision with it's 4 wicks, and the CE6 Clearomizer without a coil but some other new heating mechanism. The E1 ReVive v2 Clearomizer looks interesting to me also. Vision just came out with a tank which comes with 3 atomizer coil heads that have their own wicks attached, each coil has it's own ohm rating from 1.8-2.4-2.8 ohms separately, that you can add to the tank at your convenience, but DV doesn't sell it yet, it looks totally cool, called a Vivi Nova.

The 510 battery to eGo adapter is here at this link to DV, it just involves screwing the small end into your 510 connection, and then you can screw your CE4+ on to the end pointing up. I think you might like the 2.1-2.4 ohm if you are using a 3.7 volt PV or mod. Adapter - 510 Battery to eGo Cartomizer

They make a sleeve (vendor calls it a cone) for the 3.5ml that fits around the base of the 510 connector, and part of the way above the bottom of the Vision itself, to protect it from bending. It was made specifically for the Vision. It fits the eGo, possibly the KGO but I don't know for sure, (in my experience the adapters for the 3.5ml tanks and 6ml tanks for the eGo fit the KGO perfectly), but I don't know about the Riva, possibly not the Riva. It is not to be confused with the adapter they made for the Smoktech 3.5ml tank, this one is specifically for the 3.5ml Vision only, and nothing else. It looks really cool on the stainless colored eGo they show it on in the photograph, and it is placed where it just supports the base of the Vision 3.5ml, so if you bump it or drop it, it won't break or snap the 510 connection. It comes in stainless and black. I won't name the only vendor I have seen who sells it, out of respect for the Discount Vapers thread. If you really want to see a photo of it, PM me, and I will PM you the link.

CE2s only hold about 1.8ml of e-liquid, and that is the XL version. They named the 3.5ml the Vision Deux, because Deux is French for 2, and it was the 2nd version of the CE2, so: The CE2 version 2. The names "Vision Deux," and "Vision Extreme" have both been copyrighted and trademarked for this clearomizer by the people who developed it.

They make one clearomizer in this line of the Vision Extreme, called the Vision Extreme Nano .9ml 510. They call it a .9ml clearomizer, and it has the same notched plug as the 3.5ml Vision, but then in the description they say it actually holds 1.5ml. In one part of the description they say you have to use one of their special cones if you want to use a cone, then they say it's small enough you can use a standard eGo cone at the end of the description. Of course if you are rocking a major cool mod like a Bolt or a Provari, or else a wooden box or a bottom feeder, naturally then a cone is pointless right?

I agree, the CE4 and CE4+ are easiest to use, "hands down" like carlton said.

Like Big Screen D says, if I don't remove the chambers of the Drip Tip that come on the Vision 3.5ml (with a paperclip) and clean out the condensed e-liquid, after I vape on it awhile, I will get a mouthful of e-liquid. If you want, you can take a couple pieces of the DT out permanently, and then you have that problem a lot less, but condensation still builds up in the very bottom chambers.

Here's one on a Go-go with the stock cone modded to fit the 3.5 clearo. This thing makes you look like a vape fiend at 3 ohm. Takes very little time for them to get primed initially. They can be a little finicky, but so far, so has just about everything else in one way or another. Yes, it's homely, but it works in a form follows function sense.

Anything with an atomizer within it, is going to get a lump of carbon/crud baked on around the coil. The point now becomes either tossing, or ease of cleaning. The CE4+ are a bear to get apart and can crack etc, and these big clearomizers, you can clean without taking the tank off by just removing one gasket.

The tip, gutted, hasn't given me much issue with condensation, although they will leak past the wicks and flood when modded for turbo mode if laid on their side, but even that seems minor being that it just works good consistently once on it's way.

Maybe I have just gotten better at vaping in general, but as of late, I don't find myself having to fiddle with much since I partnered this thing up with the Go-go. I use my lavatube to dry burn when cleaning these things for the most part but not for much else.

Everything said about the 3.5ml I agree completely with. The one thing I don't like is the chambered DT that is a condensation and juice trap. That, and they don't fit in my LG cone which is just to nice looking not to use.

that's my biggest peeve with this one and the reason I don't use it. But it's still nice, I go back to one I have half filed every once in a while.. not sure that's a good thing, that liquids old :)
