thanks cant take apart my minis or the esmarts but that does help for when i have to clean my evod lol
I typed this up in another thread but I will paste here for you to save for the future when you get one. These instruction apply to Kanger Pro Tanks, EVOD's and ARO's (Pyrex EVOD Clone)
Required items:
Bathroom sink with an a stopper (so pieces don't go down the drain).
Pliers
Tweezers
Paper Towel
Vodka or Grain alcohol such as Everclear.
Small container with a sealed lid (I use an old pharmacy pill bottle that has a rubber seal in the top)
1. Stop up the sink (VERY IMPORTANT). And lay out a sheet of paper towel next to the sink.
2. Remove the Base from the tank of the EVOD and dump any remaining juice out of the tank.
3. Rinse the tank and mouthpiece thoroughly and set the tank aside on the paper towel.
4. Remove the white rubber cap, rinse this and set aside on the paper towel.
5. Using the pliers carefully wiggle the long center pole out of the head. NOTE: leave the head attached to the base.
6. Rinse the center pole and set aside on the paper towel.
7. Using the tweezers carefully remove the "flavor wick", rinse and set aside on the paper towel.
8. Now dry burn the coil and coiled wick while blowing directly into it until the gunk is gone from the coil, the coils glow evenly, and all smoking stops. NOTE: we have NOT rinsed the head or base yet.
9. Remove the head from the base and drop it into a small container with the vodka or grain alcohol, cover and gently shake a bit then set this aside.
10. Rinse the base and set aside on the paper towel.
11. Let the head soak for about 15-20 min.
12. Remove the head from the alcohol and rinse in the sink.
13. Make sure all of the pieces are dry, roll the flavor wick on the paper towel to get it dry and pat the ends of the coiled wicks to dry as much as possible.
14. Attach the head to the base and dry burn again to get the remaining water out. As soon as the coils start to glow you are done.
15. Either use the tweezers to put the original flavor wick back in place OR I will often change it out for a piece of cotton yarn and then replace that as necessary.
16. Push the center pole back into place making sure the flavor wick is in position and the pole is seated all the way down.
17. Push the white rubber cap back down on the pole making sure it is properly seated.
18. Refill the tank, screw the base back into the tank, wait a few second for the wicks to prime and enjoy.
