Just remember that rba and rda are generic terms, and you as an individual will have to decide which one best suits you. You may or may not like the first one you try regardless of what it may cost. Most of them are good, but all of them are a little different. I like the A7 and A7 mini, but YMMV.

One of the considerations for me when switching to RBA's & rda's was the environmental foot print I leave behind. My total waste in a month is about 3 inches of wire and 6 inches of silica string. Not bad when you compare it to the "use it & toss it" philosophy of Blu, Notcig, et-all.

Hey guys, I have another noobie question. How does a RBA taste in comparison to a clearomizer? I know an RBA can produce way more vapor, and is way more versatile with high and low voltages and such. With a steel mesh wick, or a ceramic wick, are you getting a lot more of an unmuted flavor? Or is the RBA more of a "seeking the ultimate amount of vapor" type of thing, for someone who has been vaping for a long time and wants massive throat hits? I'm more of the guy who is searching for the ultimate flavor myself :) I want a flavor that just smacks you in the face lol.

A properly set up RBA does not qualify to be compared to a clearomizer. Such a comparison is simply for a point of info, as a RBA will afford a much higher quality of performance and flavor. However, there is a learning curve. Whereas a clearo is simply plug n play.

Clearomizers have their place in the whole vaping scheme of things. If not for the said, I would have probably given up and returned to smoking cigarettes.

I have been vaping for about 3 months and have tried out 6 different clearomizers and two RBA's. I like my Vivi Nova (clearomizer) at work on a VV batt because it is portable, no leakage, and easy to fill. However, I love using my RBA's (cobra and AGA T2) on my mech mod when I am at home. Definitely gives better flavor and throat hit, and I love being able to play around with the atomizer to get just the right vape. FYI, if you read into toooo much stuff before getting an RBA they will most likely scare you like they did me. I researched RBA's, mainly here on ECF and Pbusardo's video tutorials, for about a month before acquiring my mech mod and first RBA (Cobra). I read about how I need to make sure my battery isn't fully charged, how noobs shouldn't get RBA's (which is true to some extent), that you can easily blow up your battery/mod...etc All these things have some validity, but upon using my RBA for only a week I realized that as long as you use common sense, a multimeter, and do some research before buying an RBA, you will be fine. It is really easy to over analyze RBA's and get perspectives from 100 people that build them 100 different ways, and then you feel like you are buying a rocket launcher. It can be intimidating, but I've found that I learned way more in 48 hours of using an RBA then I did the entire month before I got one doing research. I am still grateful for the research i did, but some of it was overkill... Just my two cents from one noob to another...LOL

I think a good place to start is rebuilding your T3 and Vivi Nova heads yourself. The Nova is pretty easy to build and the T3 little more tricky to get the right ohms and not to leak. After that I second that the RSST is the best beginner RBA. I had an AGA T+ got insanely frustated with it and sold it. Picked up an RSST and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

Just be wary of what you're going to be vaping it on with conjunction of the gauge wire you use. 32 awg for VV/VW devices and I think the 28 awg for mech mods. Good luck!
