Clearomizer?

I'm new to vaping and while I've picked up on a good portion of the terminology, some of it still escapes me. I'm still a little unsure as to what a clearomizer is. From what I can gather it seems to be a cartomizer that doesn't use filler material, but seems to have some sort of wick instead. So kind of like a tank (no filler), but a cartmozier instead of cartridge + atomizer. Is this about right or have I completely misunderstood? I've also seen the term fluxomizor thrown around, but I'm even less clear on what that is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You have it right its an atomizer sitting in a clear tank with a wick bringing juice up to the atomizer. Fluzomizer is a redesign of the clearomizer.

attys have wicks and some cartos have filler just depends i have yet to use a fluxomizer or clearomizer that worked with out me modding the hell out of them

You got it right. A clearomiser, aka CE2 cartomizer, is a filler-less carto. It has two wicks that take the juice from the tank to a coil located at the top of the carto. Because they have a top coil, the vapor is usually warmer than a similar resistance fillered carto such as a Boge. The flavor is also better than a regular carto. They can be a bit finicky, and most people mod them to get them to wick better. The simplest mod is to remove all top seals and only use the thin seal with the groove side down. Another plus for the clearos is that they are easily cleaned by dry-burning the wick.

The larger size is definitely appealing, but just wanted to make sure I was clear on how it differed from a regular cartomizer. Also what difference do the various ohm ratings make? I think I remember reading that about 3 ohms is average? What difference does higher or lower make? I'd be using it with a Joye 510-T auto battery if that makes any difference.

Clearomizers work alright, but using them how they are right out of the box they suck. Take out ALL of the inner plugs (There's 3) and take the middle ring, put the ridged side on the ceramic cup after you've filled it. Works loads better that way, but don't leave it upside down otherwise it will leak.

Using the normal plugs, wicking is horrible, but there's no leaking.

The vision cartomizers (Also from gotvapes) aren't bad, I just wish I had gotten a higher ohm rating.

Low resistance is 1.5-2.5 ohms, Standard resistance is 3.0 - 3.5 ohms. With clearomizers and the like you'll want standard resistance, low resistance doesn't wick fast enough and will give you a burnt taste (From my experience)

Check out the visions, it's a clearo redesigned so it's easy to fill and next to leak proof.

I've had them leak all over the place. The ones I have don't seem to, but my friend's leak all over the place. Maybe from constantly taking them apart and filling? I know I get them back in correctly, but still, the leaking. Don't like them.

The latest version (Clearo Ultimate of Fluxo DeLuxe), the tubes will not crack, so no leaks from the bottom.

In my experience, the XL's don't wick well when the fluid level is below 50%. Not a big deal as you can flip the PV upside down momentarily to wet the wicks. Other than that, I do like the additional capacity of the XL.

The lower the resistance, the hotter the vape and greater the amount of vapor. The lower resistance ones will also use more juice, so wicking may be an issue if you are a heavy chain vaper. I use 2.4-2.6 ohm clearos on my Riva. For a fat battery PV I would recommend anything bellow 2.8 ohms. For skinny batts, 2.8 or above.

I didn't have any leaking, but I didn't like them. They gave my ejuices a burnt taste within a very short while.

In my experience these things are either hit or miss. When they work, I'm in love but when they don't (80% of the time) im cussing and swearing off ecigs for life.

For a slim ecig, like you have, you can only use standard resistance attys and cartos. LOw resistance attys/cartos are only for bigger battery PVs.

Personally I hate the CE2s/CE3s etc. they are extremely finicky and can leak like crazy. You basically have to mod them just to get them to work like they should. They do give a good vape when they work, but you constantly have to keep tinkering with them. I just find it annoying and their def more fragile than a regular carto
