I have one of the Kanger Pro Tanks now.

I really didn't like it when I first used it. I removed one of the wicks and like it better. I used it for a little while then it started to flood over and over again.

I think I am going to prefer carto tanks to this.

I am going to take it apart, clean it up and put it back together and see if I can solve the flooding.

There are tanks with cartos in the center that bottom feed the juice. I'm personally enjoying these a lot. Easy to fill a few drops in the carto to keep it from burning. This is what i have been using and do far its a hit with me.

I do like the mini nova as well, but I've only had it for a few days so its still growing on me. It just appears to burn through liquid faster then my carto tanks, and I get a burnt taste easily. This might be my use though and not the fault of the product.

The best clearomizer, which I have used, is the protank. As such, this past week, I have given away 11 of my clearos including all of the extra heads. Having used the protank for over a week, I cannot picture using another clearomizer type juice delivery device.

It is your posts that are getting me to give the Protank a second chance. I ordered a second one, I think the first one was defective since it did not measure up to comments made by others. It leaked and flooded worse than any thing I have tried so far.

IMHO If you want a mini (same size as a cigarette, the ce2 is the clear winner followed closely by the smok nano.

For ego style, vivi nova v10 for single coil, iclear 16 for dual coil, or th go-go systems. Go-go is propritary, but unlike basically all other branded propietary systems, which are known for being miserably awful, actually has a really good rep.

Do you really need a clearo specifically though?

For ego, DCT mini tanks work really well. There's a secure locking one, artimis? That has a good rep.

If what you really want to do is spend a giant amount of money check out jazz or steampipes. Their mods are drop dead gorgous. Though for $350 they had better be.

Another option is bottom feeder drip mods. They tend to be quite large. About the size and shape of a full pack of wides. They are drip systems with an attached squeeze bottle of juice. When you want to add more juice just t humb the bottle. All the advantages of dripping with none of the hassle. Also the batteries last for ever. Good for road trips. The nicest one I've ever seen is the reo by good vapor. It's also pretty.

Sorry to read of your misfortune, JJOOHHNN. I continue to enjoy the 1, which I am using and expect another one via a pre-order.

I have not had any leaking issue. With regard to flooding, mine has flooded twice, thus far. I simply unscrewed it, held it upside down with a paper towel covering the connecting end and gently blew for a bit . . . Screwed it back on and I was back in business both times.

I trust the next one works to meet your approval and vaping enjoyment.

If you think there is a problem with a ProTank the only piece that needs to be replaced is the wick/coil unless there is a crack in the metal which I don't think would be that big of a problem. Instead of buying a new one for $20 just buy the head for $1.50 or less.

Or rebuild them yourself.

The only problem I have had with mine is it takes awhile to get going with a fresh tank. Once it starts wicking well it works great for the whole tank. Also the way the bottom is design there is very little if any wasted juice. I wish I could afford more than one but one will have to work.

It came with 2 of them. I changed it and the problem was still here. It leaked slowly. I think there is a problem with the machining on mine. I think the insert on the lathe was ready to be changed when mine was made. It is kind of rough inside.

I want to know what people think is the best Clearomizer out there. Not what is a good value but the absolute best of the breed.

I do know opinions will vary.

Is it the Kanger Pro Tank? Is it something else?

Again price is not a factor.

I will go on record and FULLY, FULLY, FULLY endorse the Kanger ProTanks. I just got mine in and my GOD, once you take out the top wick, the flavor is unreal. It's the cleanest taste I have ever gotten from a clearomizer - ever. I mean I just got in some Innokin iClear 30's and I've already put them on the bench in favor of the ProTank . As usual, here's a pic!

There's one more that hasn't been mentioned yet, for those who must have an auto mini (the ones rhat look just like cigarettes) the current state of the art is apparently the eroll. It's a 510 ego c (a not bad but not great system) on a tiny tiny 3.6v battery instead of the 2.2v of other mini batteries. The kicker here is not the tank, but the battery. IMHO the winner would be a ce2 non xl on one of these, but the battery is proprietary and works only with it's own bayonet coils.

I haven't bought a Protank yet, was waiting to hear the reviews. Didn't surprise me that there are leaking and flooding issues. I heard so much about the Kanger T-3s that I ordered a bunch. I have had the same problem. They're great in that they hold 3ml, but I've had them flood worse on Ego Twists than my mods. I have to turn the voltage way back to 3.2 or it gets too hot for the bottom coil. It doesn't do that on my mods. I've tried the upside down, blow out, etc and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. If I have to do that a few times, I end up losing a couple of ml of juice, which doesn't please me.

Because I vape darker juices, I pretty much have to soak them in vodka every 2 days or they start gurgling, then leaking, then flooding. So I've bought a dozen replacement coil heads. I think they are high maintenance for the value that you get in holding more juice. I don't want a big tank on an Ego. I've got an Artemas (small & large), Vape Only and 5ml Vivi Nova that are fine for mods. But I like to switch out flavors a lot and usually have about 10 or 12 going at the same time so I have variety.

I have a few mini Vivi Novas and by golly, they don't leak, but I don't get the flavor and it's a tight draw compared to Stardusts or T3s. I would sure like the answer to this question too.

+1 - having used a carto tank, Vivi Nova, and plain carto... By far my favorite vaping experience has been with the protank. I didn't remove the wick and the flavor is perfect, hasn't flooded, I've gone through about 25 tanks of juice, rinsed out/cleaned 3 times under warm water, still on the original head after 7 days. Its just working as I would expect it to.
