How do you know when to simply clean a clearomizer (ce4-5, viv nova, t3) and when it needs to be recoiled/rewicked? I have cleaned them...I rotate several different ones... Right now the wicks aren't too frayed. Flavor still seems good, vapor production is good. Of course, it could be dropping off and I haven't noticed because its gradual. Is the crusty black gunk on the coils okay if I can brush it off when I clean them? (I usually use 80/20 pg/vg, sometimes 60/40)
Any insight from the experienced vapers? Thanks

How long can you generally go one clearo with cleaning only? A couple weeks? A month? ( at say, 2-3 ml a day)

ALot of that depends on the juice. Dark sweet juices gunk up coils faster. But as an example I have used nothing but a menthol juice in one of my CE5s for nearly 6 weeks and haven't even needed to clean it. My Butterscotch one I have to clean every other tank. My carmel coffee one I had to recoil after one tank.

I clean all my clearos once a week. Rinse, Soak, dry burn. My heads last anywhere from one to three months. I vape almost exclusively 50/50 tobacco juices. When I notice a loss in the amount of vapor or an off taste, I toss the head. (I know but I am not a dyi person) and screw on another one. At 2.50 a pop, I just cant see wasting my time.

I have two kanger Pro Tanks and two kanger T3s in rotation... along with a drip per and an cobra clone rba.

However, with my clearos I usually clean them after every tank...super hot water rinse on tank and coil... then blow them out completely dry with a compressor. When vapor production falls dramatically or flavor goes muted/yucky then I will just replace the head. Even if I replace a head per week, at 1.50 a week or $.21 per day I don't see the sense in rebuilding. I am keeping the heads though, just in case I get a wild hair...

Thanks
