I'm currently using some xl clearomizers, with a ego battery, I'm a heavy vapor. the end (mouthpiece) tends to get very hot during vaping, is this normal?
Are you using the rubber tip that came with them ? My experience is all the different ohms get hot so I use a Regular drip tip just be very carefull when you put it on and take it off the clearomizers plastic can crack pretty easy.

Yes I'm using the rubber tips that came with them, it does help I just got worried that it got so hot, this is my first time with a clearomizer, I love them they last a long time, I used cartomizers before they work well also but I like the clear tube I can see when it is filled up. never had a problem with the plastic cracking or melting though.
They are CE2 clearomizers 2.6 ohm......it makes me feel a little better to hear yours get hot also.
thanks for the reply, you are all awesome!
I have tried different types of cartomizers. In my experience, they all get hot. with 3.7V and 5V.
I usually use the condoms that come with them. Make a small hole in the middle of the condom, and it should isolate the heat.

I have the 510 and KR808 cartomizers.
Actually, I never had a cartomizer that did not come with condoms. For the past 12 months of vaping I bought different types of cartomizers from 4 suppliers. and all came with two condoms each.
I could be wrong about the word "condom". Some call it a condom; check this video:
