So I've tried dripping and cartomizers, and I've found that I really like the idea of clearos and generally prefer them since it's like having a mini tank and being able to see the juice. However, it seems that they are rather inconsistent and you kinda have to tinker with them to get them to work better and it seems like a lot of hassle to me. I've tried the Stardusts and top coil Phoenix clearos and I just wasn't impressed. They worked okay for a while, but then just went to poo land. I need something better. I'm dripping in the meanwhile, but I need something I don't have to keep refilling for when I'm out and about. What's the next best option? Something I don't have to mess with much and doesn't randomly screw up for no reason at all or produce dry/bad tasting hits? Something that's easy to clean and refill? Or is that asking for too much at this point with clearos?

Kyi, i think it's the quality of everything that's out there. you have to fool with carto's so badly just to get them to work no matter what kind. a friend mailed me some 2 yr old no name 510 cartos and they are the best thing i've had in a long, long time. I told him to check his stash for more so i can buy them from him.

many cartos are too tight, or juice pours right though..... wicks burn up in CE'2s, hard to fill. I gave up on clearos last year when the new and improved weren't much improved ;-)

I have a DCT tank from Health Cabin ($3) but every carto i've put in there has been like you said, a fidget mess until you just throw it out and go back to a regular atty. Even a 306 LR i got recently was crap out of the package. Burnt yeck. The DCT tank works great if you have an XXL carto that actually works. Boge recently had a very bad batch and i was unlucky enough to get them too.

I hope the manufacturers clean up their problems. For many of us long time vapers (3+ yrs) it's getting to be a why bother?

I feel your pain!

I agree on the Vivi Nova 2.5's. I've had excellent results with the three I have, and I agree with the OP on other clearos I've tried. I shouldn't tempt fate by saying this, but I don't believe I've had a single dry hit on a Nova yet. The flavor is very good, filling and cleaning are both fast and easy.

A couple of caveats: I tip the PV horizontal pretty regularly, and "swirl" it without thinking about it much between vapes. I also don't vape at really high wattage - mostly it's 7-8 watts for me. I haven't even had issues with the resistance being off. The three 2.8 ohm heads I'm using all meter at 2.8 ohms. I've heard from other people that theirs were off by quite a bit, however.

Thanks, maybe I will try the Vivi Nova. Thing is, I would prefer to pick up several smaller units at the same price. I was going to pick up some CE3's from Discountvapers anyways and try one of those new Apollo tanks, maybe some of those Kanger T2's, but looks like they're out of stock on those. I guess those clearos are better than the other rebuildable types available? Any other sites that sell Kanger T2's at a similar-ish price?

I like the CE3's from DV $9.99 for a 5 pk. You have to fill them upside down with a syringe. But I do not mind at all.
Syringe is included in your box. They are the best vape I have found thus far. Clean taste, lots of vapor and a nice draw.
Haven't had leaking issues with my CE3's. I ordered a 2nd box recently b/c I really like these.
CE3 - 5 Pack

I tried quite a few devices out and was so frustrated plunking down $ on stuff that just didn't work.
I also like the Pheonix TC. They vape really good as well and I like the warm vape they give.

I bought several of the old versionsof Stardusts , short wick and long wick and they didn't work out for me. I didn't like the muted flavor or burnt hits.
I see that DV now has a Thor clearomizer with a screw in replacement coil and I am intrigued with that.
I would love to hear some reviews of it ! lol

I've been actually sitting on whether or not to order a pack of CE3's from DV, the price is good and I've heard a lot of good things about these. I understand they are just like or very similar to the bottom coil Phoenix clearos from Gotvapes. But when the Kanger T2's are in stock again, I might complete my order and pick up one or two of those to try them out. I'm also very curious about the Vision 2.0/Thor clearos, I may wait till more people review these and get these instead of the Kanger if they're better.

I tried the top coils from Gotvapes and they just did not work out for me. I filled it up like instructed and unless I majorly screwed up somewhere along the way, all of them gurgled and leaked after a short while of vaping. I also cleaned out a few of my old Stardusts, they vaped pretty good for a little while but then back to that muted taste. I can barely tell what I'm vaping. Tastes like a semi sweet mystery blah taste.

Carolina Vapes also has these Kanger clearos in stock as well as some ones I've never heard of or seen before. Might be worth checking out?

GV came out with a fix for the Pheonix TC's . They need a rubber o-ring, to be placed just over the silicone cap- fill hole . That is what GV says will fix the leak problem. You can get the o-rings from GV.
I had some of those O-rings from old CE2's laying around.
I tried that with my TC's and they still leaked. So I thought I would put in a second o-ring and double stack them and give
that a go. Once I double stacked the orings, it stopped the leak. Now my drip tip seats flush onto the o-rings.
I do occasionally pull off the drip tip and blow through the center tube to blow out an condensation of juice when I get a gurgle. I even got brave enough to take one apart a clean one last week. It was not working well, so I figured i had nothing to lose by pulling it apart. It doesn't work as good as new but is working better than it did prior to cleaning and dry burning.
I read some people get a month out of their TC's. Saw a post yest about some people rebuilding theirs.
I am not a tinkerer so when mine goes I will just have to replace it. lol

I really want to try that new Thor. But have been burned on other "new gadgets" so I want to see how it vapes
for others first. I like that it uses the Vivi Nova tank coil. I have heard good things about the Nova. If it uses the same coil as
the Nova, does this mean it will vape as good as a Nova?

I am partial to smaller clearos. the CE3 is a perfect size for me.
The CE3 is the cleanest tasting vape I have ever had. You can taste the full flavor of your juice.
I am glad BigPman told me to try them.
