Question for the ProVape owners here...

Will you guys ever consider making a unit that has a clicky button? As sad as I am to say this, I sold my V2 that I bought at the end of May with blue led because the button was silent and I assumed it was clicky, I'm waiting on the LT 2.0 to debut and am currently without a vv device. I really missed the click in the button and for me, there was always something missing when firing the device off, I didn't really realize what it was until after my return period had passed.

I hope you would take this into consideration with future products.

Thanks

This was posted elsewhere and I answered it there... It has to do with the lifespans of the switches. Regular switches are rated for at most a few hundred thousand throws, but the switches the Provari uses are rated in the millions. Plus, a regular switch is bigger, and would have to be put next to the circuit board instead of on it, increasing the length by a good .5" or more.

Outside of my initial thought, which was, "You're trading your ProVari for a LT because the button didn't click?", I can now offer simply:

Sorry, I didn't mean to be irreverent. It's just having owned a LT before ProVari, I can honestly say that I wouldn't care if latter's buttons were made out of chocolate pudding*, as long it kept vaping like it does.

* Other than the fact that I'd probably EAT the button, which could present a problem.

When typing on computer keyboards, I certainly prefer the 'clicky' old-school types over the newer 'mushy' ones to be sure. This mainly affects my typing speeds, but also just has a certain 'feel' to the finger, so I can understand this concern.

I have to agree strongly with DP above though, no way would that lone fact cause me to prefer a LT! I'd much rather have a solid unit with stable voltage, and support my fellow countrymen to boot :)

This confirms my assumption. It seems like Provape considered every angle when they designed this thing. I prefer a more tactile button, but had a feeling it wasn't used for a reason.

You know, it NEVER fails...there is always a smart ... in every thread on this entire site that has to be rude. You are not sorry for what you said or you wouldn't have said it, you just knew that it make you look bad so you came back to try to "clean up." Not everyone is the same, I was use to a click button before I got a ProVari, and I realized it was something that was a must for me and was not willing to do without it. That doesn't make any less of a user than anyone else here and I don't appreciate the rude comments.

Sorry Rond...I didn't see it, it's not like I sit here and read every single thread in Provape. But I don't see what a half an inch would do, that's pretty minor. Anyways I'm just giving some feedback and I'm not alone on this, but I shouldn't be flamed for giving my opinion or feedback either but that's all that seems to be on this site is someone trying to start something with someone else.

Upset? I wasn't flaming anything. I was just pointing it out. The subject has come up on the forum before, and their response was basically this. I expected you probably didn't see the other post. I was just saying that I answered there too.

I believe he was referring to ME. Which is fine. Now, to clarify - if I was "just trying to clean up", I would not have posted it in the first place. Notice that one came very quickly following the other. The Dr. Evil picture was in reference to the "millions" of clicks ProVari is built for. It was certainly nothing personal - and I'm sorry you took it that way.

And I wasn't flaming you. The reality is that I found it curious. I get that you'd like more "click", but so much that you'd sell it? OK, but it remains interesting to me. I see it along the lines of buying a BMW, Porsche, etc., but then selling it because I didn't like the way the horn sounded. But that's just me - I get that too.

Flaming would be call you names, or make seriously negative comments about your actions. I did neither, nor would I - because it's everyone's right to do what they feel is best. But you did put this out there for comment, which I did. If you made it clear that you only wanted to hear from people who agree though, I wouldn't have made a peep.

And yes, in all fairness, I was being a smart-.... Not with malicious intent though, I assure you. And, again, I apologize for making you feel that way.

Yeah I have to agree folks need a thicker skin. People make jokes on the forum all the time... It didn't seem rude to me, and I would have laughed even harder if it was directed at me...

It's quite easy to read posts other than how they were intended. Pointing out that the question has been answered already can be taken several ways. For me for example, when folks acknowledge they are asking a question that has been answered and they didn't go look, I take it to mean the poster thinks my time is less valuable since they'd happily ask to have it answered again instead of doing a simple forum search. That's just one interpretation, but its too easy to assume the worst...
