contrary to popular belief. well, not really since this is a clone.

for some reason when i put the unit on charge the screen would stay on and the battery charge symbol would show up.
after 3 or so hours. i take it off the charge and it still would not come on by itself.

i tore the unit open and figured whats the worse than can happen its already not working.

lo and behold. two 18650 batteries. maybe i can use those in my ipv3li lol

[edit:] nevermind. the batteries are soo wrapped in a way its very difficult to take the crap off them and actually use them. trash.

I also do not recognize those batteries, so I would not trust them. If you pick up another device, I would try to find something that uses removable/replaceable batteries. You also want batteries that are known and from reliable sources, as sometimes you can get fakes. If you know what battery you have, you know what the battery can handle and avoid any issues. The batteries I use and recommend would be Sony VTC4, but there are other good ones like Samsung 25R and some LGs that I'm not familiar with.

If you can, it is also recommended to use an external battery charger. With this, you can have your batteries charging and have an extra set of batteries to continue vaping. I like and would recommend the XTar VP4. I've had mine for months and has worked great, even after an accidental drop.

Those look like LiPo batteries to me. I would not use them in a mod that requires external, replaceable batteries. For one thing, you don't know the specifications (amps CDR, mah rating) of the batteries. They are also not "safe chemistry" batteries; should they vent in thermal runaway it will most likely be with flames and possibly an explosion.
