The 510 threading has been a bit akimbo on my clones, and some of the o-rings are significantly less functional.The rda itself works just fine though.
The quality of clones from fasttech can vary by a large amount. Some can be very good, some very poor. When buying from them it's best to check out the discussions and reviews about them to see what people think.
clones are usually hit or miss, but in my 3 years of vaping, clones usually work near as good or as good as authentics. Remember, Fasttech doesn't make anything. They're simply a distrubutor which is why they may have 3 different Velocity RDAs at three different prices. FT is usually great about returns so don't worry about what you order too much. Read the reviews and save some $$
I don't have the Velocity, but I have bought several clone attys from FT. I also depend on the reviews on FT. It has mostly worked well for me but I have also had to modify something a couple of times to make it usable.

In my experience, this has been the most notable difference, other than slightly miss sized o rings and little nit picky things like that. That said the only post screw I have ever stripped was on an Authentic Royal Hunter.
My Mini Velocity clone is great for the 8 bucks or so I paid for it. The two bottom original o-rings are perfect, but I did have to replace the upper o ring to get more friction on the adjustment, the original was "non functional" is was so small. This happens allot with the cheap clones and having a bunch of spare o=rings is easy after you have bought enough of them. And it needed a complete tear down of the center post to get all the machine oil out from under it. Other than those minor things, its now a great RDA and I`m busy figuring out the best coils to put in it. Fortunately, putting coils in it is easy peazy.
I think to be truthful with you this is the biggest difference..........just sayin.........
Read the reviews AND the discussions on each item's page.
You will find VERY little difference in quality between a good clone and an authentic.
You will find practically zero difference in overall performance.
I can assure you this much:
The authentic is NOT $100 better than the clone.
And for $9 how can you go wrong?
@Bad Ninja ----This is the most logical post about the idea of clones I have seen in awhile---this in my opinon is the gospel.......
It sucks that clones take away from the designer but at the same time they account for that when they release something. But I think that clone companies have pushed the vape industry even farther because you've got to constantly be putting out good products to sell them before they get cloned.
