What's the deal with all the clones? If they work the same then so be it but I like to buy the real deal so the company who made the actual product gets paid. I can't hardly find legit RBAs anywhere. I didn't even realize the mutationX I bought is a clone till I saw a real one. They even had Hana clones(for $125!).

How is it even legal to have a direct rip off of a product and sell it legit?

I guess if people don't have trademarks and patents on devices, cloners can probably copy them. It would probably take a lawsuit to try and stop them anyway, and they'd probably still get away with it.

The problem with cloners is they don't just copy or borrow some elements of the design, many make exact copies of devices, sometimes even including logos/branding. Those 1:1 copies are just cheap fakes typically, I see no legitimate reason for them, they are just meant to fool some people.

I know a lot of R&D goes into some of these authentic devices, it really sucks these cloners copy them, make them cheaply in China, and flood the market with them.

I don't buy clones because I think if someone put the thought and R&D into a device, and came out with a good product, they deserve my business a lot more than some rip off company.

Just my opinion.

China doesn't recognize intellectual property. If Apple and the movie and recording industry can't stop China from ripping them off, no one can...

the purchase of a clone might be a decent way of trying to figure out what items works best for you, like many of you, I too have many rda's, and rba's a few of them I must say that I am very glad I didn't spend 80 bucks on to figure out that its pretty much junk, yet on the other hand I have a few clones that I would love to purchase the authentic after giving the clone a run for its money. Kinda partical to my Magma rda clone atm, wish I had many extra dollars to go out and get the real deal

recently received a Kayfun V4 counterfeit for $17. Must say, it is a damn fine counterfeit, very well made. My only excuse is, couldn't find an authentic anywhere. Now that I finally have a clone, the stores are starting to get restock on the Authentic. Go figure :D Oh well, ended up saving $160, lucked out on the q.c. gods, and don't feel inclined to purchase an authentic.

Usually, one knows when they are getting an authentic or a clone. Only time feel it's a total rip off, is when being charged the full Monty, for a wannabe. Then it's more like a fool and his money sort of thing.

Kind of funny, a year ago, when the Hana clones first came out, $125 would be fair market value at any Brick & Mortar vape shop, since the Authentic ran for 3 bills. Now, since they are on the low end of the power scale, one could easily get a T8 for the same price.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!

I have a Hana DNA 30 V3 clone that i bought for a bill not long ago. I thought it was the real thing because it is sturdy and has the logo on it. I didnt find out till after that it was a fake, but I still dont see the need to buy an authentic Hana because, well im poor from smoking all those damn cigarettes for long LMAO. I understand that the companies put money in the R and D of their products, but why do they have to be 300 bucks?>

A lot of "clones" come from China. Not to bash them, but trademarks don't necessarily mean much to them. They ripoff anything and everything more or less.

I want to get a Kato Hammer clone. It's pretty much the exact same thing and a lot cheaper, and I'm sure that's why many find appealing with clones.

Don't get the hammer, it's awful.

RIP Trippers said something in a video I watched recently, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, then beat 'em". His point was a lot of these high end but low production operations, Vapor Flask & Stat Qualm come to mind, should outsource manufacturing to China. It makes some sense, take Fender guitars for instance. They still make their $1000+ American made guitars, but they also make a cheaper version out of the country. So they are operating in both markets at the same time, and making money either way.
