tobacco free for about three months now!
Wasted a LOT of $$$ on junk ejuice, finding flavors I like, and especially finding a tobacco flavor.

RY1 (Hangsen) is probably the closest tobacco flavor to what I was smoking (analog) previously.

One thing I can say for sure, is that I'd rather spend my hard earned $$$ on flavors I can mix with
having complete control on the nic and pg/vg levels!

Welcome newtastebuds to ECF...congrats on being tobacco free.

When I first started to vape I too chose tobacco flavoring and then branched out to other flavors.....friuts and desserts. I really do enjoy the flavors so much more than the tobacco.

After reading a bit here on ECF I learned how to make my own e-liquid....and the the flavors are fantastic...the good part of DIY e-liquid is that you can adjust it to personal preference of flavor, throat hit and vapor. I like a lot of flavor and now have spoiled myself on great taste of vaping.

Good Luck to You....Happy Vaping!!!

I've found that, personally, the flavors that helped me stay off of analogs were the richer non-tobacco flavors. My favorites are all locally made. I've tried many highly rated online venders but nothing compares to the two different one-man companies that I get most of my juice from. Crunch Berries, Creme Brulee, Banana Nut Bread and other rich flavors really do it for me, but that is just my taste.

Hi SnuggleNugget!
I started out with trying the different fruity flavors. The one that really seemed to hit the spot was Peach. The issues I had though were the nic levels. First I'd buy 12 mg, and that wasn't enough, so I'd get 24 or 18 and that was too much hit. Anyways, I've been back to ECF a countless # times and decided to do-it-myself!

Now I have, so far, a pretty good peach (TFA) and the RY1 is very close to All Day-V.

Your Crunch Berries sounds good! I def. have a sweet tooth, for sure.
I'm having a hard time finding a good Butterscotch concentrate to make Butterscotch/Bourbon.

Thanks for your input!

welcome newtastebuds!!

I'm at about 3 months now. I am also looking for good tobacco flavours. It's funny how everyone goes on and on about how they grew out of the tobacco flavours...like it's a noob flavour or something. Personally, I don't see it.

A local B&M makes a nice tobacco called "Canadian Maple Tobacco" that's just awesome...not a big fan of the hangsens, but i haven't tried RY1, RY5, or RY6, and have heard good things.

Hi Paul,
I definitely noticed how the tastebuds come and go.
I usually carry at least two flavors throughout the day. There is one thing about the RY1 that kinda throws me though; the first two or three hits are kinda harsh, but
after that, it's on spot. I'm wondering if I could add some mask or something to it without stepping on it. Maybe like Marshmallow or something?

Thanks granolaboy!

Hey, that Canadian Maple sounds really good! I haven't tried any other hangsens other than ry1 and ry4.

I think there's a lot to be said for letting your mixes steep awhile though. The ry1 is a dry/slight burnt hit on the inhale, which I like but maybe a little harsh. The exhale on it is really, did I say really smooth!

The ry4 is nice also. The higher the #'s the sweeter they are with RY's I guess. I'd like to try some more tobaccos, so I'll look into that Canadian Maple.

If you haven't tried Heather's Heavenly Vapes, you might give it a try. I have been using "Heavenly Tobacco" for around six months and I have yet to tire of it.

Thanks granolaboy!

I've heard of that one before. I'd really like to just take the edge off of the ry1, but would'nt mind giving it a try though. Thanks CMD-Ky!

I'm one week into this and can only think about tobacco flavors at this point. However, I tried Johnsons Creek #22 and found it a bit to too harsh.

I later tried Space Jam Eclipse and vaped it all day, but the next day was not looking forward to it as I found it too sweet and vanilla"y. Today, I've blended the two and think I may have something here! I can envision ramping up the tobacco over time - similar to how I first drank 7&7's 30 years ago and today prefer irish whisky neat.

I'm also amused by my foray into this habit/hobby! I've now got an additional 4 e-juice orders in for different flavors (largely tobacco based) and interested in more flavor combinations ( honey, orange, cognac, bourbon, etc) Too much fun!
