We have people here in Tennessee that can not get their propane delivered. An old couple was on the news the other night, waiting with no heat for over two weeks. They did buy a few space heaters. The local propane companies are saying that they will not deliver to new customers and the old customers are waiting.

Shari, I lived in Greenbrier just north of ya and survived the worst ice storm of my life one winter. When TN gets cold it seems even colder than the thermometer reads for some reason. I felt the houses weren't insulated enuff to be comfortable.

That's the trouble down here too, not enough insulation

A few of the propane companies are claiming that they can not get their deliveries into the trucks quick enough. I heard on CNN earlier last week that their was a huge spike in the corn crop this year and that more than a usual amount of propane was used to process the corn crops. That almighty dollar raising its ugly head again. Screw the people for the winter. Gotta get that corn processed.

Now that is totally uncalled for. Old peoples with space heaters are not a really good combo. They could burn da dam house down and not be fast enough to get out. That's TERRIBLES ! :glare:

They are not insulated for the long cold spells. I grew up in CT and moved here 10 years ago. The building codes where I am are very lax except for cosmetic things like brick for street facing walls and no garage facing the street. The codes are no where what they are in Connecticut. Our furnace back there was 30 years old. Out here the service company told us 10-12 years max on what was two better than average size and quality units. I do not get it. I am in an all brick two story house. My sister is in a manufactured home and they had to have insulation put in. Don't get it. Friend in Florida says they have NO insulation there in some counties.

A 'liked' post does not mean you've got that number (or that you yourself are even liked). The first person to pick a number gets that number whether it's marked on the board or not. When we 'Like' your picks that means one of the five helpers are marking them on the board. If there are any mistakes/conflicts, we will reply to your post. So check back a while after you pick to see if we noted any problems.

Please do not edit your pick posts.

If someone already took your number, or an error was made, please wait for a helper to post the error. Please "Reply With Quote" to the helper's post with your new pick.

A helper will announce a new round of picks at random times, so check back often and keep track of what round you've already made picks in.

Rounds may last anywhere from 16 seconds to 36 hours based solely on our whim. There are no rules. Life is unfair. Good luck!

We call it a "reset" when we go into a new round. You still keep all of your previous picks. If you miss a round you do not get to back and make up picks. You can make 1 set of picks for the current round ONLY

The game ends when the sheet is filled. We then announce the winning pick.

Play to win! There will be no PIFing of number picks. The winner of any contest can PIF the prize if they choose to do so Here.

ALL Birthday Poopies will get additional picks on their ECF listed Birthday :w00t: (1 birthday per year please :D)

Theses aren't rules. They are guidance. And they may change at any time. Without prior notice. Maybe even without ensuing notice.
