ya know....I was raised to say ...please....and thanks.....wonder why some people don't ever feel the need to use those two expressions....
I have tried VERY hard to instill that into my daughter!
I remember my mom telling me a story about when I was younger, she said she was working on teaching me to always say thank you so whenever someone would do something for me or what have you, she would say, "What do you say?" and I of course would say, "Thank you"
Well one day at the bank the lady gave me a lollipop and Mom decided to see if I would say it on my own, she said I stood there with the lollipop in hand, not open just staring at her. Finally I said, "Well Mom, are you going to ask me what do you say or not?"
