:censored::censored: :censored: Why are there people in this world who make it their life's mission to hurt other people?!?!? :censored::censored:

Sorry, I just don't get it!

My aunt remarried late in life. Her husband had 3 grown kids. Only a short time into their marriage he got sick and they learned he had Alzheimer's. She took care of him night and day for 3 years, keeping him at home (which had been his before they got married) because that was best for him to be in known surroundings. He died in November and left his house to my aunt. All of his kids have their own houses...several states away mind you, and have high paying jobs in the state where they live. One of his daughters has decided to contest his will for the house. My aunt has already sold her house and is of course still grieving the loss of her husband! :censored::censored:

stupid, greedy, selfish, :censored:

I'm no lawyer but I assume they're planning to say he wasn't in his right mind due to the Alzheimer's when he made the will.

Compare that to all the records showing that they didn't know he had Alzheimer's when they married (she didn't marry him for the house), that she was his full-time caretaker, etc. and she should win. But the emotional toll, not to mention legal fees, just isn't worth it.

If his children had had to hire someone to care for him 24/7, it would have cost them far more than your aunt is going to inherit. Make that "some people to care for him." You can't hire someone to work those kinds of hours. Your aunt did it for love.

I hope the daughter has to travel home so often that her career goes down the drain because she misses so much work. (And that she loses the case.)
