We've commonly got earthquakes here... but I hadn't felt one up until last year and I felt two of them.

First... I did feel the bombing of the Murrah Building in 1995... I was late for work and in the shower. They say it was equivalent to a 3.0. Now there had already been many stronger than that before and since... I just didn't notice them or perhaps maybe I was driving in the car/truck or something. It was odd that my friends and family would ask if I had felt this one or that...

The first one I did feel though was last year... was probably just over a 3.0 or so ( I didn't look it up ). It was a sharp one that I thought someone had actually crashed into the house... it was quick crash and over just as fast. The next one tipped a 3.8 ... it was a slow roller that had a deep rumble that came with it. Everything swayed a bit back and forth. I did know what was happening but it didn't get very violent...

From everything I've heard... I don't think I'd care to witness anything stronger...

I felt an explosion at a plant less then a mile away back in 2005. That felt like someone ran into our house. This was loud like a train or plane engines were coming at the house. They said it lasted 11-12 seconds. I'm pretty tired, but I keep thinking if I go to sleep, it might happen again. Lol

Bought the Kindle. 7" HDX (decided the 8.9" was too big even if it was a better sale.)

I never make up my mind that quickly. I make comparison lists in Excel for days. But I had to buy fast as the sale was about to end. I didn't even pick a case.

One problem -- I didn't buy the power adaptor even though it was $5 off if I bought it at the same time as the Kindle (only $14.99.) Now I have to figure out where I can find a 9W, 1.9 amp converter. I might have to settle for using one of the 10W, 2.1 amp ones I use for passthroughs.
