Cloth diaper material as wick?

Ok since I am on my lets look at different wick material, my wife brought up the idea to use one of her cloth diapers.

It consists of 55% bamboo and 45% organic cotton. The plan was boiling it for about 30mins let dry. Then cut my wicks.

is there anything wrong with doing this as long as I properly prep the material?

This will be used in my Protank 2 and joyetech Evic once it gets here

People have been experimenting with all kinds of material including bamboo and organic cotton so I don't see a problem with trying it. Just don't dry burn it. Oh, and I would boil the hell out of it if it is a used diaper.
