I thought about that but I owned a MVP2.0 and was not impressed (in fact I sold it) and don't care for boxy models.

The MVP 2 isn't a dna 20 or 30 device. The max wattage on an MVP is only 11. A dna 20 can reach 20 watts and a 30 can reach 30 watts. It will also fire coils that have a lower resistance then the MVP can.

I understand that, I was just saying I didn't like the MVP and the boxy size was part of the reason. I want to be able to toss the mod in my pocket.

So it wasn't vape quality necessarily, but you felt the device wouldn't stand up to the abuse? I'm not trying to sway you into getting an MVP again or anything. Just curious. You're worried that the electronics in a regulated device will break down, right?

I use the Nemesis/Kayfun setup.

Practice your coil building, with safety in mind, try single coils, dual coils....decide what works best for YOU.

Personally, I've settled on a single coil at 1.2 ohms. Gives ME the flavor and vapor I'm after, as well as good battery life. Dual coils drain the batteries a bit faster, and didn't give me the quality vape I was seeking. YMMV.

No it was the quality first hand using a iclear 30s was like sucking through a pin hole and the vape quality was subpar at best IMO. Keep in mind I'm coming here from hookah, not cigarettes. I'm not worries about the electronics, I just don't like the bulk of the device in my pocket although the VTR is an attractive device.

All this isn't as complicated/difficult as it may sound. The basic steps: make sure you have good batteries, an ohm meter to check your coil builds, use an ohms law calculator app to make sure that your coil won't draw more amps than your battery can handle, use a multimeter to make sure that you don't overdrain your batteries. Really simple steps, which will become more or less automatic once you've been doing them for a while.

Yeah, I wasn't too much of a fan of the iClear 30, or ANY clearo really. I moved to cartotanks pretty quickly, and recently I've thrown in a dripper and a genesis style tank. I'm waiting for Kayfun clone in the mail now. As for the device itself, I always found it more important to have a topper I liked, rather then the device. I liked the MVP 2 for the functions, the internal battery that all I needed was a cord to charge with, and the fact that it wasn't prone to rolling off of surfaces. Never worried about pockets, as I carried them in my purse.

Yeah I'm not too fond of them. I hope I like the new atomizers I ordered. I liked the idea of a dripper with a tank, or a tank with an airy draw like a hookah hose but without leaking (as many have told me genesis style tanks do).

I ordered a kayfun lite v2 and hope it's awesome. I did like that about the MVP2 but maybe it was just the setup or something. I'm unsure. I could be overly picky too, mainly since I come from hookah so it's not like I'm quitting disgusting cigarettes to vape. Hopefully I can find e juice on par with good shisha flavors.

You could consider something like the sigelei 20w mod. Regulated device like a Hana dna20 mod but with the form factor like a mech. It let let's you subohm to about 0.5 I believe, maybe lower, and it has ohm meter and battery level all in the display just like a DNA mod

You're straight buddy. Your story sounds quite a bit like mine. I came from hookah and loved the clouds. It's actually been a year since I started vaping; May 17 2013. First bought an MVP v1 with the iclear 16s then got an ego twist cuz i loved the cylindrical form factor. But my need for cumulous clouds became more persistent, a couple mech mods here and there and now I am pretty satisfied with my Stingray modxPatriot atty setup at 0.3ohms runnin off some Sony VTC5s. All you need to learn is how to build coils, battery safety, and thats it. Ya know, I do sometimes miss the social aspect of smoking hookah. DAT VAPE DOE
