I finally got my beakers and pipette in the mail yesterday and had to try them out last night. I mixed a batch of TFA Cinnamon Red Hot at 15% flavor (I like my juices really strong) with 50/50 PG/VG and 10MG nic. I thoroughly washed and dried the glassware before mixing. The juice turned cloudy while I was mixing and stayed that way overnight. All of the ingredients are fresh. I mixed a small batch three days ago (measuring with a 1ml dropper) and they were fine. I was a little leery of the cloudiness but tried it fresh mixed without steeping. It was OK but definitely not great. It had a musty, rubbery taste. I'm hoping the flavor improves with steeping.

I also had a minor issue with the pipette. The numbers start at ten at the bottom and work up to 1 at the top. Is this normal? I can do the subtractive arithmetic OK, but it seems counter-intuitive to have it marked that way.

I had also bought a pipette pump (the plastic kind with a wheel and plunger but couldn't seem to make it work. Is there a trick to using the pump?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

The cloudiness should fade with steeping. I've never seen a pipette like that lol, that's funny. At least the ones I borrow from the chemistry department at my school are labeled normally...

How did you mix your juice?

Pipette pumps only work with graduated pipettes or something similar, not with the plastics ones with the bulbs at the end. Do you have the right pipettes?

Cinnamon as well as some menthols or koolata will some times do that and it's usually not an issue and usually clears with a good steeping. What does concern me is the rubbery taste, that is not normal. Some have reported a rubbery taste with some Nicotines. I would mix up a small amount of just the base with no flavoring and vape that and see if it has a rubbery taste. You can also just vape the PG and VG alone and see if that has the rubbery taste to narrow things down a bit.

As far as measuring, regular squeeze manual plastic bulb pipettes are very inaccurate I would start using syringes or get a high quality pipette pump.
