Been going to this forum for all my newbie vaping questions and been lurking for quite some time aha.

Just curious on your thoughts on it. Bought one mtbakervapor and seen many good reviews on the updated version and the old ones catch fire. Just wondering your thoughts. I got it with an efest 18650 2500 mah LiMn battery, and was curious if its good for the mod. I have a provari charger for LiOn batteries and was curious if the charging would work on it or if I can just charge it in the device itself (don't plan on swapping batteries as I have only one). I heard efests are unprotected and was curious if it would "blow up" inside the mod charging. This would be my second mod and have heard its iffy having issues of it catching fire etc, but the newer ones are a 1:1 clone, or so I heard. Just want to be safe and sorry for all the newbie questions, I plan on using a Kayfun Undead or Eleaf's Lemo on it with a 1.5 ohm build, just curious what watts would run on it and is it safe? Thanks guys!

Welcome, I picked up a Cloupor 30w last May and IMO it's a great device. I haven't had any problems at all with it. I also run a kayfun lite + tank on it and love it. 1.5 ohm at around 15 watts. That's really personal preference though. As for batteries - I use Sony vtc-4 30 amp batteries and charge through the device. I don't like messing with those little screws all the time. LOL

Ah alright, glad to know it's lasting so long! The efest batteries are unprotected and was just worry about overcharging aha. Btw hows the led lights on yours? I was planning to get sony batteries in the future but no idea where to bug authenthic ones and I don't plan on swapping the batteries just want to chard through the usb port just the dock for backup aha. Hows the battery life and your thoughts. 1:1 clone? XD

LED? The LED sucks. You can barely see it. LOL. I can see mine in a dark room. You need to use unprotected batteries. As for authentic Sony's... I dunno? I bought 8 of them last year before they disappeared.

I heard Sony Vtv-5s are protectef aha with a chip to stop over discharhing etc. And yeah the LEd blows I heard aha, but curious if it turns green full charged or how would ya know when to pop it off?

My LED never turns green, I just charge overnight and go all day the next day. Well I did when it was in use. It's sort of collecting dust at the moment, to be honest with you. I started using Reo Grands instead.

I've had my cloupor cana box for over a year now I think, and have never had an issue with it. I've always used the usb charge port for overnight charging. But like Equilibrium said my led light never turns green, and that would be one of the only nags I have with it. That and the screen comes on sometimes when it wants to. But I love the size of it, and I'm actually in the process of putting a dna40 chip in a used one.

No, vtc 5's are unprotected, safe chemistry batteries.

Ah the efest is the same and was worried about overcharging aha. Why the switch? And how long did you stick with the cana?

Soumds great and the wake up issues was fixes in the new v3 i heard but im unsure about the 510 the older ones were floating 510 but the new one is a screw type of 510 bit confused aha. How do you know when its at full charge?

Also...Thanks for the bump btw! Forgot to out it out there to the 2nd poster aha

Ah alright hows that battery life ? And did yours come with the screw adjustable 510? Just curious never owned a floating or screw adjustable 510 aha. My friend has one and said basically its a mod that can turn the atty rba into a rta by squeezing that lil juice bottle inside. Im lazy lol i just rock rtas.

My Cloupor does not have the adjustable 510. The Reo is a bottom feeder, it's awesome! It takes more than just an open 510 connection though. You have to have a RDA that's designed to or been modified to bottom feed.

Got me Cana DNA30 in June 2013. Until NYE I used it exclusively with my Kayfun 3.1's. I swap batteries and have newer used the built-in USB charger. The only issue I've noted is that when you set the power to say 8.0 watts. The first time is goes into sleep mode the wattage will drop to 7.9 watts. If you set it back to 8.0 it will not change after being in sleep mode from them on. A quirk, not a problem. Love my Cana so I ordered a H-ana DNA50 from FT. Got it on NYE and been using it since. It's working well but has an annoying quirk. You have to hit a button to wake it up from sleep mode. Sleep mode begins at 2 minutes and 15 seconds, so the 'wakeup calls' become a pain. The Cana fires when you hit the fire button even when you are in sleep mode.
Since I have two hana clones now, I guess I'm an fan.

OBTW on batteries check out this kink:

There's some great info for choosing battteries CDR and MAH.
Since I don't vape at more than 10 watts I use my Panasonic NCR18650PF's (10A CDR, 2900 MAH). I would go for the Sony VCT4 or Samsung INR18650-25R if I planned on going at higher wattage.
I don't believe in Santa Claus or on-board chargers, so get a Nitecore, Efest charger.

Very dope just not ready for that yet. Its too much tech for me aha! Nice mod though and might pick one up if I head over to rdas as dripping is a pain for me when Im always on the go lol. Also the newer ones have the adjustable 510 whether its spring or threaded.

+1 for the Nitecore charger. I have the i4 at home and the D2 at work. Both great chargers but I prefer the D2 because of the different charge modes and the digital screen tells you the charge level, so no longer a need for a meter at work to check battery levels.

i already bought the efest battery and was curious if its cross compatible with the provari charger I stated as its my backup mod to my provari and dont wanna go all out w/ acessories and chargers and stuff aha if I can on board charge it straight from the device I rather do that aha. If this breaks its no biggie just want to be safe. I just get confused w all my attys and get voltage all messed up per ohms and end up with a burnt wick. With two mods itll be more convienent and manageable for me aha! Just curious if its safe im your opinions. Thanks for all the love and feedback guys!
