If you had purchased from a normal online vender or decent b&m you'd be ok but fasttech may still have some of the old ones kicking about have a look at your serial number if it's 06 or 006 or above (sorry not sure how clouper do theirs) you should be ok it was the first couple of batches that had the problems.

This is how Rumors start.

Pre-release - Batch 0002xx had a low number of defective Boards.
All following batches have been good to go.
A firmware update was done on later releases.

All Cloupor mini's have a 15 second cut off.

Test is - Install tank/Coil only - no wick/e-liquid
Set to 30w
Fire to cut off
If unit displays temp warning - it is defective.
If no temp warning - it is good.

Once again issue was early - Batch 0002xx

Up to batch four had problems crxess I know because my friend had one that burnt out and it wasn't one or two either by vaping standards quite a large number of them had the issue into the hundreds. I don't like exaggerating rumours but I also don't like underplaying something either and if given the choice I'd rather overplay and no one gets hurt then underplay and risk it each to their own.

This this this!! Thank you. I know much about this issue. I had an early version and it was faulty as a result of the company scrambling to get a very large order filled and a small amount slipped through QC that had overheating issues..The PCB's could overheat and cause the unit to melt. There were never any "fires" and the only picture on the internet even showing smoke coming from a device still has the battery in it which is plain ignorance to me seeing as you can pop the back off and battery out in less than a second literally...anyway.... I contacted Cloupor and they completely reimbursed me for my defective device so I now have 2 Cloupor mini's and both of them work great. Fear is the enemy and education is the answer! Keep on Vaping!!!

Funny you should make this statement when everything pretty much flat lined after the updates. There have been a few reported incidents of Charge port failure on units while attempting Passthru while charging - something I recommend avoiding - beyond that there have been no Run issues of public note(postings) of any sort since Batch 0002xx
Not sure why you say well over 100, maybe Total units with some defect?
Even if you include all failures and reach 100-150................ out of a production nearing 1/4 million, that is extremely LOW.

It is likely 10 times that number of iStick 20's are already in the Trash or junk drawer, however a million plus have likely been shipped.
