Clueless newb cant navigate site, help please

Hi all,
I cant figure out how to post links, add photos, show my CASAA support, etc.
Can somebody steer me to where a not so good PC user can possibly utilize the forum more.

I'm a complete idiot and fairly new to the forum but would like to enhance my experience. I need the idiots guide.

How or where do I learn to do more than just typing. I would like to participate more and am frustrated I cant figure this out.
Any help would be more than appreciated.

I'm proud to be a member of CASAA and would like to know how one gets their banner [or whatever it's called] at the bottom of my posts. I believe it's so important to get their mission out there & believe everyone should be a member too.

Besides, my posts look boring and I want to be more like you vets out there.

I'm also very grateful and cant believe what a wonderful group of people you all are. Your help to date has been terrific and I wouldn't have learned so much without this great forum.

Please help me be more of a helpful newbee.

See, like how come my post headline is the only one that comes out with in small cap? I even used "Caps Lock" to try & make it bigger.
What's up with that? I've tried to bold & everything but nothing seems to work.
I see others 1st post come out in Large cap bold letters. Huh? What am I doing wrong?

To get a CASAA banner into your signature, write down these steps:

Go to this link Downloadable Graphics and right click the banner with the white background and then left click the new window where it says "copy image URL".

At the very top of any ECF page, left click on "Settings".

On the settings page, on the left you will see "Edit Signature". Left click on that.

Right click in the large box under Edit Signature, and then left click in the new window where it says "paste"

Now, below the large Edit Signature box, click on "Save Signature".

To post a link, you will need to "highlight" the website address at the top of that webpage and right click and "copy". This will apply to You Tube videos as well.

To post the link that is now saved in your computer into your ECF reply message, left click on the icon of the world (link) in the above tool bar. A new window will pop up, and the text will say "Please enter the URL of your link". Right click inside the white box and the link you saved will appear. Then click "OK".

If posting a You Tube video, left click on the last icon of a window of the above toolbar. A new window with the text "Enter your video clip URL". Right click inside the white box and the link of the video you saved will appear. Then click "OK".

You will need to save most images to your computer by right clicking on the image. A window will appear which will give an option to "save image as...". Left click on that option. The image should then download onto your computer's photo gallery in Downloads.

To upload that image in a post or reply, left click on the window icon that says "Insert Image". From the new popup window, click on "from computer" and then "Choose file", and then scroll your image gallery for the picture you wish to upload. Double click (left) on the image and the image will then download into your message.

Actually, I fiddled with it and found a short cut. Use "option 1" and this link:

That pulls in the logo I have in my sig and then you can click "Insert Signature Picture".

Thought I'd try it when I saw that logo is the size the forum limits you to and it worked like a champ...

Well now I screwed something up. I tried & got some box without the banner, then tried again & then got the banner in the large box. Problem is now I cant get rid of my 1st mistake & your only allowed to have one. Ant idea how to delete the unwanted one. I cant get rid of it.
I tried logging out & back in & it keeps showing up.

My PC doesn't show "copy image URL". It seemed to work by copy & psating but now I'm stuck with the first mistake which I'm not sure how it even happened. It seemed to be working but it didn't bring up the banner.
It's not a big deal other than not being able to show my support which makes you look like a fool if your trying to get others to sign up.
I certainly don't know how everbody can figure so much out.

When back on the Settings page and Edit Signature page, right click on the banner you wish to delete and then click "delete" from the popup window. Then click "Save Changes" below the large box.

Repeat original process to re-insert the banner.


Any text in the big box can be highlighted and deleted.

Here's a test. My pop up window doesnt give you a delete option. So this is a real experiment.
