cobra rba from fasttech......

i got my cobra from fasttech today. i cant get it to read more than .8ohms, i have 7 wraps of 28g kanthal on it so it should be 1.4 ohms just like my current build on my octopus... but no. i properly oxidized my wick, ive taken it apart to check and see if anything was wrong, ive built a total of 4 coils on it and always get the same result.

do any of you have any idea what the problem could be?? thanks in advance.

i figured it out, i just jimmied the wick a bunch until it read 1.4, thats weird tho. i have no idea why it was doing that...

Mine has done that as well. When you fiddle with the wick you can get more contact with the coil, or possibly with the wick hole or bottom of the tank, both of which increase resistance but don't produce a full short. Just my guess.
