I was reading the tobacco extraction threads and figued why wont this work with coffee. I dont have pg yet, so I used 20ml vg and 50 ml southern comfort, and 2 table spoons of fresh ground coffee.(a med grind) I microwaved for 90 seconds. I had to stop it about every 10 to keep from boiling over, maybe because of the booze? Well it has sat over night and im going to let it sit today. I figure I'll squeese it through cheese cloth a couple times then let it drip through a coffee filter. I'm hoping for a nice rich coffee flavor. any input would be great, I'll keep you posted

They have a thread by locutus where he recomends letting the solution set about 3 days. Also let us know if the flavor keeps after a few days.

3 days, ok thank you. and yes ill keep you updated. I'm using a Dark french roast btw

Another idea, should I add an acid like a couple drops of lemon juice to help break down the coffee?

Doesn't coffee contain oils? If you use alcohol to leach the flavor wont that allow the oils to come through as well? I was just wondering if you use pg only if that would either not leach the oil or keep it seperated so you could just syphon off any oil. Just curious...
