I have found that my coffee intake has dropped considerably since quitting analogs in favor of vaping. Thought I would do some research on this via a poll.
I LOVE coffee and could not imagine either of vaping or snussing without it. I see caffeine and nicotine as having very similar effects and prefer them both for my buzz, although adding an exercise buzz into that mix is my very fave.
I voted about the same, but when I first started vaping my coffee consumption dropped way down. It just didn't go well with my Marlboro flavored juice. But since I've moved on to other flavors, I'm drinking more.
MY doc had pulled me off coffee because of my BP and heart rate issues. Since I started vaping the BP and HR went back to a normal level he has let me start drinking my coffee again so I voted drinking more.
All told, I'm drinking about the same. But there are a couple of differences. Coffee used to make me want a cig, and cigs made me want more coffee, so I'd drink a ton of coffee. But vaping doesn't really make me want coffee, nor the other way around. So even though I'm drinking as much, I don't feel caught in this viscious loop, if that makes any sense.
Also, I've discovered quite how awful instant coffee is (d**n taste buds). So I broke down and got a coffee machine.
- average about 5-8 large Tim's tripple tripple throughout the day
A pot a day ?? Man, I wish I could save "that" much money......
My level hasn't gone down at all, and I'm still in the stage of using both analogs & a PV.
And I kid you not........ for as long as I can remember, my routine is:
- a pot before leaving the house
- average about 5-8 large Tim's tripple tripple throughout the day
- a pot after dinner until bed
And the pots I make at home are different int'l fresh ground beans made "strong" !!
So now I'm wondering if caffeine isn't the culprit for my addiction(s), lol....
