I just bought a 40mm Mason and wondering best build to put it in it. It will be sitting on a HOG using VTC5a's. I'm able to build down to .35 with these batteries. Right now I'm running a Voltrove rta on the HOG using 24g SS, 12 wraps over 4mm. I've played around with 22g KA1, 22ga Ni80 and 24g Ni80. It's hits nice but I have a lot more room on the Mason than I do on the Voltrove so I'd like to use the space to put beefy coils. If anybody has any ideas shoot them my way.

Oh BTW...I can build exotics like alien and staggered dust claptons but don't think I would be able to build them high enough to use on the HOG.

I don't have the 40mm Mason but I do have 30mm X1 and I run 26awg SS 4mm I.D. dual parallel coils down to 0.15 -0.3. and that works extremely well.

EDIT: If you want to retain flavor with clouds I also run .8awg ribbon like a micro build. Don't space the coils get them as close as possible build down to your choice. If you go too much over 0.5 it defeats the purpose of retaining both flavor and clouds.

I run mechs and with my cells I run (quad VTC5a's) and I can safety build down to .35. I don't want to go much lower even though I like my coils around .2-.25 but I don't want to loose a hand or scar up my not so pretty face with building low and the mod exploding or venting.

With the 40mm Mason I want to put beefy coils in it like 5mm or more and run duals. I think I will be able to fit 14 wraps over at least a 4mm. I'll have to play around with the coil calculator app and see what I can use (rather go with SS because of flavor it gives) and how many wraps I need to get to .35.
