I have built an awesome coil! Want to post pics but can't get a good one. Wondering if anyone has already laid claim to the build? It is 2 coils one inside of the other with cotton wick placed between. 28 gauge kanthal micro 7 wraps around small safety pin then 5 wraps around a small screw driver. Slide little coil through bigger coil install on rda. Adjust spacing between coils and then if that was not already a pain get your wicking material between the 2 coils. Sorry I am not to specific on size just use what I have. Comes out to .5 ohm. Good flavor and vapor production.

I think Rip Trippers talked about this... called it the inception coil, although the wicking options may be a bit different.
Is this roughly the coil you are talking about?
Close. The inception coil is 2 coils with 1 wire. What I built are 2 coils each there own wire. Small coil then placed in the larger coil. Then the leads meet up and are inserted like a dual parallel coil. I have not built the inception coil so I don't really know if the end result is the same.
Ok, well... I think I understand what you are talking about... it's also a parallel build then. I feel like I have seen this, but that's sure not going to stop me from trying it out
I'm quite shocked at how it's pushing vapor out one side, seems like a lot of vapor...
I wrapped a 6mm long coil out of 32AWG Kanthal A1 with a 1mm ID
I wrapped a 6mm long coil out of 26AWG Kanthal A1 with a 3.15mm ID
I straightened one leg of the small coil so it ran lengthwise with the coil
I rolled wrapped Rayon fibers over the small coil length wise
I inserted the straightened leg through into and through the larger coil, which pushed the Rayon through with it
Then I was able to bend the leg on the small coil to match the larger coil leg
At this point I was able to pull the Rayon through, and get a good amount inside (between the two coils)
Then I twisted the two sizes of wire on one leg together, then I twisted the other set together.
By the end, it came out to 0.6 Ohms.
That sounds mad interesting. Like a vertical coil wicked, and inside a traditional coil, making it in essence a hybrid of traditional and externally wicked?
Might make an unbelievable vertical coil. (Perhaps Kayfun?)
