When I first started to build, I just used whatever tools I had in the shed. I was wondering if anyone had any preferred kits to recommend? Preferably something with all I would need in the box

I looked at the kits. I don't need most of that stuff, there's no place to put things not in the kit. The box my phone came in holds everything and takes less space.

Yes, I have a small Tupperware for making coils. Nail clippers, tiny screw drivers, scissors, etc. When I sit at the table to make a coil, I have a small towel to work on. I put the towel in the Tupperware and that keeps everything from shaking. Just my kit.

I have a Big Cigar Box that holds all my Rebuilding Tools.

The Most Important IMO is a Coil Winding Tool like this...
