I have a single coil, dual twisted 30 gauge kanthal build at 1.6ohms that produces good flavor and doesn't require me to crank the wattage way up. I've gone all day dripping on that with a single charge on my little 1200 mah vaporshark dna 30 at 16-20W and not had a problem. In general, the higher the resistance, the lower the wattage needed to drive the coil, the less battery drain. For flavor you want good surface area if I understand correctly. Whatever build you want to do to get you high resistance and high surface area, rock it out. 10 wraps at around 2.75mm IIRC was the particulars on this particular build. Do you have an unregulated mech or a regulated mod?
Also, if you don't like a certain aspect of it don't immediately change the build, try and adjust little by little till you get what you're looking for. (slightly more or less resistance, different wicking material, etc)
