I've been reading around the interwebz about building and have made the jump. I've got an Ithaka clone on the way and have a question regarding how the coils are situated in the atty head. In several reviews I've seen, people are placing their coils in an X pattern. My question is, is this not asking for shorts and hot spots? I assumed the coils would be placed parallel, but the reviewers seem to have no problem with firing. Why?

Because it does not matter if the coils touch,it will not short them out.They are placing the coils directly over the air hole.
I am using JCWest's coil setup just parallel to each other & I think it is working just fine this is my 1st build on the Ithaka & I had problems with crossing them so just went back to parallel & it vapes great!
