Coil for Vapefly Galaxies RDTA

Hi folks,

Just getting into vaping, and I had a question that hasn't been asked or answered elsewhere.

I initially bought an innokin adept zlide kit, and quickly became interested in RBAs. I have a Vapefly Galaxies arriving tomorrow, and plan on building a 0.8 ohm coil from 26ga Kanthal A1.

My question is this, the steam-engine calculator is giving me a mod setting of 18W and 3.8v. Is this voltage setting recommended or necessary? I am using the Innokin Adept as my mod, and unfortunately have no control over voltage. So far as I know, and excuse my ignorance, the mod is at a constant 5.5v. Will I run into any problems?

Hi and welcome,
Using a coil of less than 1Ω and selecting the highest power level on the device, it will deliver about 17 Watts.
You could always add or remove a wrap from the coils you make to better match the output of the Adept.

Any wattage that is mentioned with a coil is only Recommended.
I have a Galaxies RDTA and I either use 2 strands of Ni80 28 gauge twisted at 2.5mm ID or MTL Clapton, both at 0.7 ohms using 17.5 watts
