Anyone know exactly what this stuff is? It's supposed a competition wire and they advertise it without giving many technical details. They say a 24ga 2.5mm 6 wrap comes out to be 0.45ohms. This is from the table on the back of the wrapper, it can be seen on the product preview images. That matches up exactly with what Kanthal A / AE / AF is on a calculator. Could that be it?

It's just Kanthal. Nothing is competitive about kanthal.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's just Sandvik Kanthal rolled up in a bag.
As a builder I assure you that the building community isn't currently rejoicing this new source of over priced wire.

I didn't anyone would be excited or anything, it's obviously overpriced and nothing new, I was just curious as to what exactly it is. On the other hand, I know very little about competitive vaping/builds, what kinds of wire are considered more competitive, wires with lower resistances per foot?

Competition tubes sacrifice every thing for voltage usually.
My Apollo has an adjustable hybrid connection meaning the 510 on the atty just touches the top of the battery.
Really easy to crush the top of the battery and it's solid copper so if you decide to push the button with no atty or you use a chipped up battery you're probably going to blow it up.

As far as wire goes it doesn't matter.
Everyone will probably use something different. Some competitors are builders and there just aren't enough sizes and alloys sold by "competition" brands to even make anything.
