Hi I have recently brought a new mech mod (geekvape tsunami) only a starter for now I also purchased a druga rda.

I have just recently put in twisted coils they where reading at 0.5ohms each I believe I built a dual coil ? I also brought new fogstar batteries for my mech mod they are fully charged, well it is fully charged!!

It won't heat fast enough and I am just not getting any vapour or flavour from it ! Could someone suggest a good dual coil build, what's the perfect ohms to run on with a single battery .

Thanks Ben

Fogstar? That's a new one to me..I would stick with name brand batteries like sony, Samsung but like mentioned above, first you need to know exactly the ins and outs of battery safety first. A mech shouldn't be a starting point , especially if your not well versed on coils and such. After you know all there is to know about saftey, then you will realize that you probably have to much coil mass for that battery to push, and I would think voltage loss in the mod is playing a part of it. Single coils would be best for now.

Hello @Benjamin Bradley

The target resistance for coils comes down to how much vapor you want to create.
2 coils halves the resistance (2 x 0.5ohms dual coil = 0.25 build)

0.25 should be creating plenty of vapor if you have put it all together well.

Your batteries will probably be fine (Fogstar) although I have to say I do not like elements of the way they market their products and would be reticent to buy from them. Claiming your batteries have "been developed and tested in-house at our UK office" is kind of misleading since Fogstar have certainly not developed anything at all. It costs an absolute fortune to develop Li-ion batteries. That is why the good vaping batteries come from multi-billion pound tech corporations such as LG, Samsung and Sony.

Anyway... I'm sure what you bought will be suitable IF they have stated the AMP specification on the exact product you bought.

What batteries have you bought? Are you testing the coils set up in the atomizer properly before using them?
Mech mods carry some risk and as you didn't tell us the ohm reading of the complete build then I have to be quite firm and say maybe you need to do some research or leave the mech for a while.

If you'd said.. I checked them and put them on my box mod and the reading was 0.28 before I switched to the geekvape, then maybe I wouldn't be quite so worried for you.

i.m.o. the continued interest in using mech mods is kind of weird when a rebuildable atomizer is going to be fully flexible (power wise) and much safer on a good box mod.

Anyway... good luck.

Hi Ben & welcome
I am in agreement with everyone else suggesting you not use the mech, at least until you have a much better knowledge of the dangers it can present. The other thought of course is why? Why a mech mod when variable regulated mods are available and often at the same or lower price. Why give control of the power you send to your atty over to a battery instead of retaining that control yourself. Mech mods do not give better vapes.

I use deep well RDA's. Deep wells are like mini tanks and give me the best taste available. As to portability, I add a slip ring (wide rubber band) to slide over the air holes and a cork plug for the drip tip -- no leakage. I also buy only deep well RDA's (Magma, Origen V1 & V3 etc.) which hold a mil or more of juice and last me 45 min. to an hour or more before refilling (1.5-2.0 ohm single coil).
