Coil Question and E-juice Question

Hi...I've been vaping for a little over a year and I sometimes still feel like I'm new to it. Technology keeps advancing so I guess that kind of explains that feeling somewhat. I don't like building coils and usually use the standard coils for a couple different sub-ohm tanks. My question is about the newish Kanger subtank mini coils. I got a .5 ohm Clapton coil about a month ago and loved it. It's so much better than the older horizontal stock coils, but when I got a new one about a week ago, it has been such a headache. It takes it a little over 2 seconds to get hot (this has never happened to me before with any coil), it keeps flooding and gurgling and seems to be burning my juice. Could this be a dud or is there some difference in fit that could be responsible. I feel like maybe the connection is maybe a little bit loose. I've tried tightening it to no avail.

My second question is regarding the strength of flavors. Are there any brands known for more "in your face" kind of flavor? I have an autoimmune disorder and it causes chronic dry mouth. It is hard for me to taste juice unless it has stronger flavor than most. I have ordered from some places that allow extra flavor shots, but haven't really found a juice that I like from any. I used to love the KBV gooey better cake and their buttercream frosting, but got a couple bottles a few months ago and, they tasted nothing like they used to for me. Normally, I buy from my local vape shops, but it's so hard to tell how much flavor juice has in the old school tanks that mute the flavor. I know taste is subjective and I'm not really asking for flavor recommendations. I prefer dessert and cereal vapes...sometimes fruit. I would love some recommendations of brands that seem to have more flavor and sweetener than others.

For the Kanger coil question, it could be a bad coil, or the tank could just be flooded. Is the tank leaking? Also which coil is the new one, is it the same as the first .5ohm Clapton? If not some more info on the new Coil and what setup and settings you are running it at may help resolve.

For juice you could try Mig Vapor. They have the Vimanna Vapir Bar that allows you to make your own juice. You can use up to 5 flavors and you can use the same flavor more than once if you like. I recently made a grape crush with 3 shots of grape crush. Needless to say it has a LOT of flavor. May be worth taking a look.

I'm using it on my Joyetech Evic VTC mini at around 35 Watts. I put the old one back in and no problem. I guess it's a did, but I remember reading something about the fit of these coils sometimes being off. Could different vendors maybe have different versions or clones maybe?

If its working fine with the other coil, then I would say the one problem coil was a dud. Always expect a pack to have one in it, no matter where you get them from. Thats why its good to atleast have a few new ones just in case! Hopefully you wont have anymore problems!

Thanks...glad to know it's not that these Clapton coils don't fit right. I love them so much more than the original coils. I haven't had a dry hit with them and they seem to be able to take a higher wattage than the originals.

I don't know if I'm doing the right thing when I reply on here. One response I made posted a bunch of times and it always quotes everything I respond to...lol.

There is a store near me that makes up juices like that, but they are pretty expensive for regular purchases. I've heard good things about MigVapor but hadn't checked them out yet. Maybe I'll do some shopping today

I was in my local vape shop the other day and found a line of juices that all seem pretty strongly flavored. If anyone who replied to my question also likes strong and sweet juices, you may want to try out flawless liquid. I purchased We Ain't Done and Aftermath. Both are quite sweet and have a lot of flavor. Aftermath is my favorite. It's a blueberry donut. I'm vaping both in a subohm tank. One is the Kanger Mini Subtank around 35-45 watts with a .5 ohm Clapton coil. The other is a Tobecco Mini Supertank with a ceramic coil at .9 ohms and around 28-30 watts. I think the Tobecco tank brings out the flavor better than the subtank, but both are very good and flavorful.
