Sofia from eCigTalk graciously allowed me to share her experience.
I hope it will be helpful to many. I apologize for translation errors.
Prepare a twisted (pigtail) Kanthal (nichrome, fechral etc.)
Take the needle and bend it hook
Cut a piece of wire desired length and tie a knot at one end:
Hold the knot in one hand, the other hand holding the needle, and we catch a loop of wire:
Well, twist the needle until you get the pigtail:
That's all.
Wire was used for photos - Nichrome 0.2. Thick to be seen. And real pigtails I draw from hromal 0.14.
Preparation of the genesis
1. Cut a piece of mesh 3.5 x 2 cm/1,37 x 0,78 inch (450 mesh) ignited his the burner:
2. Twisted on a needle, and then took out a needle and screw tightly.
3. Cut off the bottom of the grid at an angle. Rinse in vodka (to remove grease etc), ignited burner:
4. Put in the grid in the Hydra (genesis mod atty). Made spiral pigtail (hromal 0.14). Pinch pigtail bottom screw:
5. Wind the pigtail on the wick. 6 turns. Should be slightly more than 2 ohms (well, I already know from experience). Sets the minimum volt (in this case 3.3) on the ProVari. Pressed the button - top round course lit. Move the coils with a screwdriver, moving quickly all the turns with the button pressed. Until all the turns of the spiral lit up:
6. When lit up the whole spiral, check resistance. ProVari says that 2.3 ohms. Raise my volt from 3.3 to 3.8. Look that turns. All burn as expected. I put 4.2 volt to get my favorite 8 W. I press the button again, watch the status of coils. Again check the resistance - it is the same.
7. Fill with e-liquid. Again check the resistance. Everything is in order:
That's all, you can enjoy.
PS: Should probably say, pulse PV (similar Oval V8) is not suitable for the settings as they may be damaged when strikes a strong current. Fits: ProVari, mech-MOD and seems eGo.
