Hey folks,

this may come a little late for most of you, but here's my review of the Coilmaster 521 Plus tab. You remember, the one that looks like a flying saucer.

Points for design ingenuity don't necessarily translate over into performance however. The good news is that you can use the tab to measure ohm resistance, output voltage, dry fire and prime your coils. You can even use the included alligator clips as a kind of rudimentary multimeter. In fact, I would absolutely recommend doing it that way over using the voltage checker add-on. For reasons unknown to me, it completely distorts voltage output under load as I tried to demonstrate in this video. And one more thing: the display seems to be wearing sunglasses, judging by the tinting on it and just how badly it shows up under lights. Sorry about that, I played around with the footage in post to try to make it easier to see.

Cheers,
Methodius
