Coils leaking?

I have two different types of tanks (mini in the first pic and then a larger one in the second pic) and the coils seem to leak in all of them. I've replaced coils and bases and still have issues with leaking. When I remove the base to refill the tank, there's liquid all over the coil and up into the base, occasionally even into the battery. Any suggestions? I've checked to make sure coils and bases are not screwed on too loose or too tight. Doesn't matter what combinations of tank, coil, or base or battery I use. Batteries are ego 1100 mAh.

That's not unusual for those types of tanks. What you're seeing is the condensation that leaks back down below. I used to have that all the time with mine (Evod2, mini protank 3, etc). I just wiped mine down with paper towels every time I pulled the tank off. If you think the amount is excessive, it may be leaking. But a small amount of juice is normal (to me).

Thanks dhood! So far it hasn't leaked out when assembled and I rotate coils so that they have time to dry out before using again. I also clean out the battery terminals and let those dry at least 24 hours before charging or using again. I like keeping things simple -- only 6 batteries and aobut 10 tanks (two different sizes), bunches of colors to mix and match, and a drawer full of flavors to mix and match. Glad I don't need to replace anything.

My wife uses the smok aro and I rebuild the coils, we get a little leaking when the tank gets near empty but on a whole I find they are a good tank. I would suggest you learn to rebuild the heads and wick with japanese cotton as in my opinion it is better than the stock coils you buy and make sure you keep the tank at least half full.

Try taking longer slow pulls. Bad technique can increase the tendency to "flood". Also low fluid level decreases the vacuum that forms inside and fights leaking. 100% PG fluid may be too thin and 100% VG too thick. Floods and leaks can also be caused by heat such as leaving it in a hot car, or the unit warming back up after being cold, either way the fluid expands.

Once a coil floods, it will tend to keep doing so, try blowing through the mouthpiece of the clearo with some paper to catch the fluid coming out the other end, also can reduce the excess fluid by turning the vape upside down so no new fluid reaches the coil and running it.

Theses designs have the little "chimney" coming out of the coil core which is actually brilliant. A small amount of fluid spitting and condensation in the mouthpiece tube is normal, and the tiny space between the chimney and surrounding tube helps trap it. This should be cleaned off when refilling to start it over. But obviously this can't deal with a lot of fluid. I've only had 1-3 defective new coil units in 6 months, though every once in a while when they get old they'll leak too. With the mini Protank see if it has actual Kanger coils (looks like one in the top pic, but I can't tell if its a clone) -- the base of the core is printed with their resistance rating -- these tend to be better.
