Coils Touching Or Not

Hello everyone,

I'm educating myself of rebuilding atomizer heads on my Vivi's and PT2's. Why do some videos say to make sure the coils don't touch while other videos say make them touch? I just don't get the difference and why or why not this is or isn't done. Thanks!

You either have them compressed, or you have them evenly spaced apart.

I always compress then together.. which are called mini(forget diameter), micro(> 18 gauge diameter), or nano coils(</=18gauge.) By less or greater than, I mean wire size, not gauge number.

You'll be fine. Even the tightest compressed coils prolly have microscopic gaps.

They should work fine, diameter wise. I believe they say 16ga and that's perfect for a micro coil

Great. That was a helpful video, i'm adding it to my vaping playlist for future use.

My rebuilt Vivi Nova is working better with 8 wraps and more space between the coils, than the 10 wrap micros I was making. I don't know, maybe the space allows more vapor to escape?
