One of the oddities of vaping is that it isn't compatible cold weather at all. Many times over the previous 2 winters I have noticed vaping is near impossible, but never had to give up yet.

-10 Celsius is where the consistency of my juice changed enough to make a drip tip totally useless, lol, so I just remove/ replace my drip tip instead (Note this has to be a 510. I found 306 drip tips would lock VERY easily in the cold... and blowing into it isn't going to help at that point)

Best advice I can give is to keep your juice as warm as possible, preferably in your hand or in a pocket that isn't as exposed to the elements. Otherwise you will have a very thick juice in need of a hot water bath on the coldest days.

Stealth vaping in the bathroom is another great option and keeps you, your juice and your poor battery out of the coldest weather.

Wow -10c That means most of the winter I might as well be selling my juice as slurpee's
drac

It's not as bad as it must sound, but I find that -10 is when it starts to get "too thick", just thick enough to change the way my drip tip functions. I have vaped outside in -20 before with success but dripping through a drip tip was completely impossible

EDIT: Keep in mind it really depends on if your juice is PG or VG as well.

We had a very cold winter this year in NY it got down to -10 or -11 a few days and i didn't really have trouble at all. I kept my juice in my pocket so it didn't thicken or freeze or anything. I actually liked it because i hardcore chain vape on my breaks at work and the cold kept my atty from over heating.

I agree there, my atties did run much cooler, which is a good thing. The drip tip aspect is really the only problem I had besides surprisingly thick juice. Keeping your juice warm is a simple matter of holding it for a few minutes before dripping, but I still have to remove/ replace the drip tip.

What about thin PG base juices in cartomizers?

I'm starting to worry lol

PG doesn't get thick as fast as VG, so your cartos are still safe in the winter. Might wick a bit slower in intense cold but I doubt it would be noticeable on typical days. No need to worry, lol.

honestly i always remove and replace my drip tip because it never really dripped too well to begin with lol

I do the same most of the time since the winter. I think this is the main reason why I still own and love my Cisco 510 atties, since you can remove the drip tip and replace it. 306's are awesome and all but the drip tips I own are just the delrin and clear plastic variety so the cold causes severe locking.

Don't use a metal drip tip! lol. I vaped a bit outside last winter with my eGo-T. I had to enclose the tank in my hand to keep it warm enough to wick properly, and stored it in my inside pocket when I wasn't using it to keep it nice and warm. I actually found the experience not quite as satisfying as inside, maybe cause of cooler vape. Its funny cause I have NEVER smoked an analog in my house before, it took awhile to give up the routine of bundling up and trekking outdoors for a puff. I almost missed it sometimes. Now instead of taking a break to go outside to get my nic fix, I usually take a break from my outside chores to run back in the house to vape, lol.
