collector tank issue for gg experts

In these pics are 2 collector tanks I bought. The one on the left is from COV, it works perfect. The one on the right is from a private sale. The tank on the right is approx 1/8" taller than the tank on the left. The tank on the rights interior threads where the draw cap screws on do not come up flush to the top tank so the draw cap cannot be screwed on. My question is, is the right collector tank from an earlier ggts version or is it defective? I was hoping someone could answer this for me. Thanks

The one on the right looks like it came from a UFS, which has an 8mm CR, where as the CR on the GGTS is only 7mm.

According to the seller it was supposed to be from a ss GGTS

My SS GGTS's CT looks exactly the same as the 1 on the left and my UFS's CT looks like the one on the right.

Measure the CR's, as far as I know only UFS's had a 8mm CR.

The seller probably didn't know the difference.

I'd send it back to the seller and tell him to get with the program and figure out what he thinks he is selling before he sells it.

This is another example of why I only buy new and wait and wait and wait until COV has what I need. UNLESS - I know the seller and trust them 100 %

as the previous friends said, the first pic is a GGTS CT and the other is a UFS CT tman

Update: To make a long story short, a switch has been made and I now have the correct CT and CR. Thanks again for the info for a GG noob.
