Color me impressed - mostly!

I ordered on Friday 8/22 and my order arrived today 08/26 from China. I ordered something relatively local at the same time and it has not arrived. Wow and kudos to East Mall. I ordered 801s for hubby and I including passthroughs and extra parts. Everything is working great (immediately started puffing with the passthrough and I have a regular battery charging). Cool beans!

So here is where the mostly comes in. Hubby loves his Marlbro blend and says it tastes just like the real thing. I have tried Vanilla, Caramel, and Pear and they all taste like bananas? Am I doing something wrong? I am using the passthrough at the moment. Granted I am green to vaping and my tastebuds are probably shot from smoking a pack and a half of analogs for the last 10 years, but I did expect some flavor differentiation? Is it more subtle than that?

I noticed that banana was a very strong flavor in comparison to most of my others. Try to blow the atty out completely dry and start over with a new flavor/fresh cart and you shouldn't have any lingering banana flavor.

if you're dripping the other flavours on top of the banana OR using the same atomiser for all of them you're gonna get a combo of flavours...banana seems to be the overpowering one.

Try a new (or cleaned) atomiser and wash/dry your cartridge filler before putting a new flavour in.

Thanks for the thoughts guys, but I don't even have Banana as one of my flavors - just other flavors that taste like bananas. I tried different atomisers with the same results on those flavors. I did find two amongst my stash that did not seem to have the same issue - Pineapple and Peach were great! On that note - the dropper came off of my peach one and is now stuck in the cap - any ideas on getting it out?

If you screw the cap back on the bottle tightly with the dropper still in the cap and then unscrew it, the dropper part will probably go back where it belongs. This has happened to me several times with some plastic bottles. If all else fails I use a pair of tweezers to pop it out.

Whenever I unscrew the cap of a juice bottle now I always make sure that the dropper is where it belongs. I have dripped without looking before and made a mess, not to mention wasting a lot of juice in the process. 8-o

Tried this and it did not work - I think I will go after it with tweezers. I can just see myself doing what gnehdne described and pouring juice all over the place. I am not exactly the most graceful person in the world!

So I have now tested all the liquids in 4 different devices with different carts and attys each time and I am not impressed at all. They all taste the same and not in a good way. I love everything else I have gotten from EM but the juices - not so much.

I hate to say this because I love Eastmall, but I am glad it isn't just me. I was beginning to think I was crazy. I kept trying to find variations in flavor - but all I get is sort of this banana metallic taste. It sucks because I bought two of the huge samplers sets during the sale.

They will still get my business - just not for juices.

I don't want anyone reading this to think they are a bad company at all, I love everything else that I have purchased from them (801 & 901 in bulk and tons of carts)!

In fact, my 801 from Eastmall is my favorite device; I have 510, 801, & 808 - oh and seriously POS Smoke Anywhere but I don't really count that one!

i find that when i have a new atty it tastes alot like bananna even when i am vaping things like red bull and chocolate. i would wait a couple of days with the same atty and see if it helps.

I thought the same, but I have since tried with various devices and various atomizers (and always with new carts) and no improvement. I appreciate the help though! As mentioned before, love everything else from Eastmall, so I will take this experience as a lesson learned and perhaps a difference in personal tastes. I will give the juices another go in a week or so when my tastes buds are improved from further e-smoking (read: no analog smoking).

PhoenixRising, hopefully it is just some bad batches....because I've not heard many complaints about their juices. I actually have a large batch on it's way.....so now I'm a little nervous.

Hope you got the dripper out of the cap. I've had this annoying problem on a few of my bottles that came direct from China. The tweezers did not work for me because the cap holds the dripper too securely. I had to take a needle-nose pliers (for the stronger grip) and carefully pull it out. The cap doesn't want to let it go, but it will and there should be minimal marring to the dripper so that it is still 100% useable and functional.

It depends on the batch and supplier. I always try different companies to see what I like best. Your taste buds, as you say, will change after you get off analogs for awhile. You will find flavors and companies receipes you like. Just hang in there and try a few. Good success on your new journey!!

I might be able to help a little here,

I have had some juice from another company
and I had the same experience, -- a mettallic taste---

what I found was that it was a bit too strong with the flava --
so add a little VG to it,
and try it again......
this solved the problem for me -----
the flava was a bit too strong for my taste buds,
once I brought it down a bit with VG,
it was fabulous........

just try a little at a time--
2mls of your juice and 1ml of vg, try that==
if still too much, -
try 2ml juice and 2ml VG....

I found some needed more VG added than others
so make it a slow test
and you will be surprised.....

everyones taste buds are different........

I would like to add that shaking the bottle before refilling helps! Also if you are having a problem with flavor..leave the cap off for an hour or so, I have no clue why this helps but it did with a flavor I have..it was horrid! (not eastmall's) after an hour I closed it up shook and tried again. It was fine!

we are all still learning so much about this new - hobby -
