Hey all, I've been DIY'ing for a couple months now and noticed that the color of my juices is almost always translucent (except when adding colored flavors). I still order juices from suppliers to use as a point of reference and to see what's popular and why so I can apply it to my own juices. My question arises in the fact that the majority of juice created by suppliers typically has a much darker color and when let to steep the color darkens much heavier than my own juices. (mine typically not getting much darker than a slightly yellow tint). Is there something that you guys (and I mean the general DIY public) are using in your juices beyond PG/VG, Nic Mix, lemon juice and typical flavorings from Wizard Labs, TPA, etc.?

My juices all taste great (through much trial and error) and I have no problem per say, i'm really just curious about the distinct difference in coloring.

Thanks in advance.

Color varies and is not a real indicator of anything.

Vanillas will darken your juice. Graham Cracker and coffie extracts can really darken a juice. Old Nic will darken a juice. Steeping will darken a juice.

When you DIY your ingradients are (usually) pretty fresh, so in GENERAL DIY will have lighter juice. Your nic supplier will want you to have as clear and clean a nic as possible.

When you buy from a vendor who knows how long that nic was sitting on a shelf before it was mixed. Mix date might have been a week ago, but the nic mix may have been sitting on the vendors shelf for who knows how long.
