I know that the apple from Mt baker vaporous starts out kinda clear but over time turns a pretty light green. This is usually when it tastes the best. But grape and blueberry stays a crystal clear color. Go figure..I'm not too worried coonsidering all the chemicals and food colorings in the food we eat.

The nicotine base can darken as it ages from oxidation. Most of the time the color of the juice is from the flavoring extracts used, which are often naturally in the tan, amber, brown spectrun. Some flavoring extracts have natural or artificial food coloring in them, which comes out in the final product. And rarely, and to the annoyance of many, some vendors add artificial food coloring to their end product.

depends on the liquid. I DIY... and even some of the flavorings have color but most do not. Usually the tobacco ones will have a slight color (yellow or tan/etc) I'm guessing it's because maybe they used tobacco or a tobacco concentrate to flavor it.
For some reason, I'm not keen on vaping food coloring. It probably wouldn't hurt anything but the idea just creeps me out
