and as long as I'm B %(*&^ING, then there's the Ultrafire battery charger...

The batterys on the charger flop around..maybe that's why i got only 2ish hours from the first one i charged...
if i slightly picked it up ( the charger) the 2 batts( on it now) turn from red to green...
depending on where they're pressing against the gold piece, they'll go from red to green in a heartbeat, bare minimal touch makes them change color...I have to play around with them to get them so they touch the charger thing ( the gold part)

the whole unit seems lose.. ..barely touch it...red...barely touch it again...back to green...

p.s.

App. $150 for an afternoon of 2 good vapes in 6 hrs.

I'm a hands on person. I touch (feel for excessive heat) and roll mine while charging. Mine do that after some time in the charger (Pila) too. Got a DVM? (digital Volt meter) Check them for what the voltage is before and after charging. Some even keep a log and can tell by that when their life expectancy starts to drop.

Maybe a slight spring/spade adjustment is in order.

feel what?roll what?do what after some time in the charger?and now i have to spend MORE money for DVM? and more time having to fiddle around with it?

I thought this mod was supposed to be more hassle-free as apposed to every other kind of ecig!

I use Ultrafire wf-188's and Pilas chargers. The Ultrafire's (at least the ones I have owned) have been kinda "loose" when charging smaller batteries such as the 14500's and 18350's. This was/is what I had to do to get a "possitive connection" every time. I put the negative/flat end of the battery against the negative "slide spring loaded contact". Push back untill it will go down in the slot and make contact with the possitive post. Then, I would use my finger on the back side of the negative spring loaded post and push it forward so it made "better contact" with the possitive post/contact.

I don't want to insult your intelligence by asking a question that may seem stupid, But, I have to ask since you said you were not getting much battery longevity. On the side of your charger, do you have it in the 3.2v or the 3.7v setting? Do you have the other side switch in the 300mAh setting, or the 650mAh setting?

And....there's always the QC factor. Not all chargers are made equal. My charger is capable of charging two batteries at a time, but it doesn't always (TR-001). Up until recently, I just adapted and worked around it. Kind of frustrating as I constantly rotate batteries...I vape on about 2-4 mods at a time. I have a new charger coming my way right now hoping that the performance will be better. The vendor I bought from steered me away from the WF-188 citing that there have been issues so I bought another brand (Xtar). I hope this helps. :)

i bought all the mod excessaries on the recommendation of the forum , REO store, and RTD Vapor, as to the proper components to purchase and now I'm getting different messages and advice and it looks like I bought the wrong things.
I haven't had but one good vape since around noon today.

You should be able to get a full 12 hours plus on those batteries. See where a DVM would be nice? I don't have that charger, but from what you have described so far, it does sound like not making good contact in the charger is the issue. How much space are we talking about between the contacts? A dimes width, 1/4 inch, what?

oh, mommy, did I sound angry at Rob?! Excuse me ...I am stupidest when I'm trying to be funny.Seriously! As a matter of fact,
I saw on one of the threads that he likes BackwoodsBrew, so I just put in an order!
And you're right, I have my old standbys to see me thru.
By the way, I would NEVER had the gumption to go for such a thing as a MOD!!! in the beginning. I started, little scaredypants that I've become, on a Joye brand 510!
AANNND...don't tell anyone, but I think it's the new brand of juice I just got a few days ago contributing to the small vapor and no TH.....:blink:ooops...I think i just told everyone
